Hey hun I had meningococcal septicemia at 12 was in a coma and stuff my feet and hands Wre also going black but I was caught on time time is the most imoperant thing and you got your lo seen as quick as possible gd luck hope your lo gets better very soon xxx

Oh hun, this is heartbreaking It's so so horrible when they're poorly. Harrison was in hospital a couple weeks ago and it was awful. I felt so useless, so I know how you feel. Fingers crossed he gets better really soon! for you .

Hi Hun. My lo was very ill at 2 weeks old and was treated for suspected meningitis just like your boy. He had a lumbar puncture and the same broad spectrum of antibiotics (one is amoxicillin). He was also having calpol because of his fever. He had the rash, spots etc. it turned out he had a blood infection. Still serious but he's fine now.

My oh at 1 year old had meningococcal meningitis. It was affected his brain and speech. However this was back in 1985 and medicine has come on loads.

Lots of hugs, hoping your lo responds to the antibiotics and he's home soon.

I had meningitis when I was little, it was caught early like with your little boy, and I was in hospital for a week. I hope he's doing a lot better, and will be home soon
