Mid cycle bleeding

I am posting on my iPad, so forgive me. SO and I are at the close of a long distance relationship. He came to visit March 14-22. I had a period March 8-11. I then had another period March 23-26. My regular periods are typically very heavy and the March 23 one was more of I would think would be a more normal period. My last few cycles have been 32-38 days. The last time I took my mini pill was March 21 so I could start learning about my cycle so we can TTC when this long distance business is over with. I have never had skipping the mini pill cause a period, so I am not sure what this bleeding might have been. I have read about ovulation spotting. this would be more than typical spotting, but maybe it is for me. I guess I am just looking for some possible insight. I'm not sure if this is something I should go to the doc about, yet.
