middle name help!!!

I need some middle name help! We decided on the name scarlett. I have always said to dh that if we have a girl I want her middle name to be connie (after my grandmother). Dh has now said he wants his mums name as a middle name too as she has helped us so much the last few years. The problem is that would make the middle names connie carol which personally I dont think sounds right. Also I think my mum may feel bit offended if we do that too. Im so stuck on what to do!!

We had the same problem with our ds name and who's fathers name to use but I wanted my grandfathers name in the end we didn't use any as we couldn't decide and used our brothers name (they both have the same name) x

what about combining names:

Connie + Carol = Coral (maybe)

Scarlet Coral - sounds beautiful, honors both but still has its own unique identity
