*Midwife Appointments* :-)

Hi girls
I was just wondering what happens at my next midwife appointment - I will be 25 weeks & the last appointment i had was at 16 weeks and i heard the heartbeat
I can't wait for my next appointment because after this one i think i will be seeing her more often as it gets closer to my due date! Sorry if this is a pointless thread i'm just really intrested to hear what happens next

Sorry to read and run... but I don't know as I'm only 12 weeks!

I had mine on Tuesday, she took my urine sample, checked my notes. Checked belly and listened for heartbeat and that was about it. Not sure if anythingelse was meant to happen or not.

I had mine on tuesday as well, gave a urine sample, took my blood pressure, checked my notes, measured my belly and listened to heart beat.

And now i go back again at 28weeks with another urine sample and i was warned i would get bloods taken grrrrrrr......................lol

Iv got too see my midwife a in 2 weeks time, at my 16 week app she didnt listen for hb or touch tummy just bp and urine lol hope she does hb this time havnt heard it once yet

Forgot about the blood pressure, mine did that too. And she told me there would be blood tests at the next app too. Am dreading it as the last 3 midwives haven't been able to get the blood tests and I've had to go to the hospital. When I mentioned this to my midwife her response was "Don't worry, I will definitely get it" - which to me means she's going to stab at me repeatedly before admitting defeat. I hate blood tests.

Mine didn't measure my belly though.

My last one was 16 weeks for bloods which the hospital ended up doing. I go back at 25 weeks now. I booked for Tuesday just gone as I had some questions and wanted my urine checking but cancelled and decided to wait. The dates of mw visits should be in your maternity notes

I also HATE blood tests/needles that sort of thing too!! I have to go back at 28 weeks for my Anti -D due to being a Rhesus negative blood type - trust me to be awkward & have loads of injections when i hate them
