Hi all :flower:

I'm not sure if this belongs in here but I class it as a complication so here goes...
I've sufferred with migraines since the age of 12 but since becoming pregnant they have increased in frequency and the symtoms are worsening. I'll know an attack is coming on when I get an aura (blind spots, zig-zag lines) usually in 1 eye, then I'll get numbness and pins and needles down one arm and the side of my face. On the last few attacks I have then become confused and unable to speak coherently (forgetting words etc) it's also really difficult for me to recall pieces of info and peoples faces. Then the headahe and the vomiting will start. I'm usually in bed for the whole day.
So I was concerned how these motor/nervous system symptoms would be affecting my unborn baby (I know I can only take paracetomol but don't usually bother as they do nothing for the pain and I just end up vomiting them back up anyway) so went to see my GP. I thought he would just reassure me but he wants to refer me to an obstetrics consultant as I may need medication. As you can imagine I am concerned about any medication and the effects on my baby.

I would love to hear from anyone in a similar situation? Sorry for the long post :flower:
