I look at future jobs. It shouldnt matter but it does. Will she be taken seriously with an 'out there' name. Will people want to be trartes by dr meadow?

Yes some people are shallow but I guess that's their issue and tbh any decent person would not judge someone on their name. Plus here in the UK doctors and teachers use their surname.

Sorry, not a fan of meadow. I just can't picture someone going for a big important job interview and introducing themselves as "Hi, I'm Meadow".

Thank you so much for all of your replies. We have decided to go with Meadow Lily even though many are no so keen we do love it. Plus I've named all of our children, 1 of which my husband hated but soon got used to it so I'd like to give him this. We are going to shorten it to Medi so if interviewing ever becomes a problem (which I doubt it will in this day and age) she can use that or call herself Lily
