Mini pill

Hey guys
Is anyone else on the mini pill?
I have been on the mini pill since my six week check, when I got pregnant I was actually on microgynon.. So I'm just wondering is this pill better ?
The doctor recommended it as I couldn't have some others as I was breast feeding

I used it whilst I was breastfeeding. It did the job. I went back to microgynon when I stopped breastfeeding

Thanks I don't know whether to stay on this or to change to something else as the pill doesn't seem to work for me lol

I took it before and after pregnancy bc I have migraines (estrogen is contraindicated, and mini pill is progesterone only). I have to tell you, it did the job while bf'ing, but was hell when I stopped (and before I was preg too).

It can go one of 2 ways: Either your period will not come back/severely lessen, or you will bleed CONSTANTLY (this is what happened to me). I used to joke that of course I'm not going to get pregnant, I'm bleeding 3 out of 4 weeks... Who would touch me?! Haha…

I've been off for a while, and I'm much happier without it.

I've been bleeding twice since starting it, do you think that's because of the pill?
Is there any other contraception you would recommend? I'm really not sure which to use

The normal pill didn't work out for me so I've almost always been on the mini pill. I've had no problems with it. I was lucky that it lightened my period (which was great as I used get really heavy ones).
I know its not for everyone but if you aren't having any problems then I'd recommend it.

I was taking the mini pill until a couple days ago. (Had only been on it for a week). A couple days into taking it, I started bleeding heavily. I called my OB and she said it was normal. I just finished my postpartum bleeding and a period! This is very annoying! I've decided to stop taking it and go for a diaphragm. That is, whenever this heavy bleeding stops. Ugh!

I've had bleeding with it a couple of times to! Very confusing! X

I took the mini pill Cerazette from 2 weeks PP for about 3 months and it wasn't working well - was always bleeding. I then switched to the mini pill Norgeston for 6 months as I was still BF'ing but that wasn't working either with the breakthrough bleeding. No accidents though, probably because I was always bleeding and couldn't have sex I'm back on Microgynon now and it's working for me well. I think they are meant to be just as safe but the time frame to take it is shorter which is why some people get pregnant.
