Hi Ladies!

I desperatley need some advice/guidence!!

Me & Hubby have been TTC for 1 year now, for our second child.

I had a positive OPK on the 8th April and again on the 14th??? very strange, but was told you can ovulate twice a month although it's not that commen!

So now i am 4 days late for my period. I've had really painful lower back pain, to the point i was convinced that AF was going to make an appearence at any minute! The pains are still there but not as bad and not all the time. More like mild cramps. I had lots of EWCM the day before my period was due and for 2 days after but that has since gone. I've done 2 OPK's a day since the day my period was due and they're sooo positive! the lines are so dark!??!

I've had 2 negative HPT's also.

I usually have sore boobs when af due and i haven't got any tenderness at all. I feel exhausted and am feeling sick on and off.

I just don't know what's going on?

Would I get a positive OPK when my period is due? Can you ovulate instead of having a period and can you ovulate 3 times in a month???..or could it be very early pregnancy???...I'm so confused.

PLease Help!.x

If you´re using FMU, then you can get several positive OPK´s in a month.

If not, then I have no idea what this could be.

No they weren't my fmu. Sorry if this is tmi but I've also had diahorrea a few times over last couple of days.

I'm 5 days late for af today and still showing positive on the OPK.

FMU = first morning urine :)

It takes a while to get used to all the euphemisms :)

I am in the same boat. Iam 14 days late with my period, getting negative pregnancy tests, but positive OPK. My breast hurt little, but i have no other pregnancy symptoms. My period are very regular, so this is very unusual for me. I don't think that I am pregnant, but have no idea what's happening.

It's really weird. I just want to know one way or another.

I'm going to do another HPT on friday if no af by then.

I think if I get to 2 weeks late i'll make an appointment to see my doc to see what's going on.!!

Myturnnow9: I hope you get your BFP! maybe it's just too early to detect?!...I was gone 6 weeks before i got a bfp with my first pregnancy...x

I hope you are right. We've been trying for 7 months now and it feels like forever. I am so ready to be a mom! I did get blood test done yesterday, but still haven' t heard back from my doctor yet.

Oh No, I'm so sorry to hear that! :-( Did they explain to you why you would be late for your period?

Maybe you should get a hormon profile blood test done, just to make sure all your hormones are functioning properly and that you're ovulating properly.
I had a simular thing in January (but not with the positive OPK's) I went to my doc who didn't want to know, she just told me I need to lose weight! Great!!!...So If i'm not pregnant this time, I've decided I'm going to go back to the doc's (see a different doctor) and ask for a full hormone profile. Apparently it's very common. Dr Robert Winston was on a programme this morning, he's a fertility specialist and he says it's very common for people to try for a baby for ages and it never happen simply because their hormones are all over the place!, but all you need is a simple blood test to determine this and have some meds to sort it out then you're good to go.!...I hope it all works out for you, keep me posted on how you get on, if you get any further at the docs. Take care.x

Hi babychickpea,

This is an old thread, but I've come across it because I'm experiencing almost the exact same situation.

Did you ever get some clarity as to what was happening?

I had an early miscarriage in August-Sept, wondering if that is a factor at all.

Thanks!
