Hey Ladies!

It's been awhile since I've posted but I wanted to ask you all a few questions. In Feb of this year I had a 6-7 week loss after Hubby and I took a break from fertility treatment. Before starting a cycle I found out I was pregnant again!

Last week I started spotting brown with a lot of cm (sorry tmi) I went in to see my OBs physician assistant and she did an exam and cervix was closed, my hcg levels are great and when they did the u/s all they saw was a gestational sac and yolk sac. The tech said that the sac was measuring 7 weeks but they hardly go off that to determine fetal age because I am early according to my levels and there was absolutely no way I could of been 7 weeks. PA and Tech both agreed there was no concern and to return back for a repeat ultrasound the following week.

We went into today for the repeat ultrasound (spotting completely stopped, yay!) and we saw baby 5 weeks and 6 days with a heartbeat of 113! After that the Tech right off said she was concerned about the shape of the gestational sac, saying it was misshapen/abnormal and that was why she was having a hard time seeing. She was very negative and it really bothered my husband and I, especially after she told us she seen my chart to which she should of seen (and we told her) we had a loss recently, a second trimester loss 5 1/2 years ago and our son who was born prematurely who is now 3. The fact that we saw baby with a heartbeat considering our last ultrasound we saw nothing was huge to us!

Once she took a few pictures and measurements she left the room to talk to the OB that was in the office today, right before I asked if the she could have him come in to look or at least talk us and she said "you'll get answers today" and left. Came back in to tell us what the OB relayed to her and it was exactly what she said that the gestational sac was misshapen and they were concerned about the way the "pregnancy" (wouldn't even say baby!) was progressing but then again they weren't sure because I'm early and I needed to come back to repeat testing. *Also forgot to mention I'm on progesterone pills*

I had more labs done to check hcg, I don't understand why! considering I'm well over the 5000 mark, my levels have been doing absolutely fine and my arm is so bruised because they've only been able to get blood from my left arm/hand. I just feel like that's always the answer when I have a question "lets check your labs"

I FINALLY get to see my amazing, compassionate OB on Monday and hopefully get some real answers and schedule another ultrasound. I'm going to ask if I can have it done at my high risk specialist office because they have better ultrasound machines and they are the ones who preform the ultrasound not a tech. I will also be making a complaint because I have had nothing but grief from his staff and it wasn't just the way the Tech was towards us, We've had some very rude nurses/staff in the past and recently. If we he wasn't such a great OB I would of left a long time ago but he's been through it all with us and I trust him 100%

Has anyone had experiences with this? Good or bad? We are a family of faith and we are very hopeful, yet scared. I know I need to leave this to God and not worry but it's so hard after everything. I'm just looking for some answers, or maybe someone to talk too because I feel alone. We haven't yet told our families or friends because we want to wait til we are comfortable to share the news.

I have no real answers for you but i didn't want to read and run.
I have a similar situation right now and had my ultrasound yesterday to see if i was miscarrying, last ultrasound a couple weeks ago showed two empty sacs and my levels started falling after that. yesterdays ultrasound showed 1 sac with the fetus but no heart beat yet at 6 weeks and they were very negative about it all but my falling hcg could be because one of the twins vanished and basically miscarried. I have had no bleeding or cramping either.

They also told me my gestational sac is abnormally shaped and it worries them, but from everything i have read A LOT of people who have had abnormally shaped GS turned out fine, or it was so early it was still developing into its shape, or the uterus is shaped differently causing it to show up as an abnormal shape.

I was told at 4 weeks that my gs was misshapen. I am 15 weeks now and have not heard anything about it since. :hugs:
