I went for a scan yesterday at 10w2d after quite a bit of spotting and cramping only to find out there was no fetal heartbeat and the baby only measured 8 1/2 weeks.

This was my first pregnancy after ltttc so it feels like the biggest slap in the face....

I've opted to let the miscarriage happen naturally as we want to ttc again asap. I'm 33 this year and after ttc for so long we feel that our time is running out. :nope: I don't want any medical intervention that could mess with my hormones or mess anything else up.....

I just wondered how long it took for most people who have been in the same situation to miscarry? I am feeling really achy and crampy inside where my uterus is but hardly any spotting now. Even though it is freaking me out knowing that I'm still carrying my  I really want to wait for nature to take its course.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I had a mmc. I went into hospital at almost eleven weeks and baby had stopped growing at six weeks. But the reason i went into hospital was because i started bleeding and the really bad cramps started that day. But it happened naturaly so mine took about 5 weeks to start :-( and is still going 7 days later.

I'm so sorry to hear that. :hugs:

Mine was just a tiny bit of spotting and cramping. When I googled it I read loads of things about how normal it was at my stage with the uterus growing etc... I really thought it would be me worrying for nothing. :dohh: xxx

Mine just felt like a completely normal periodfor the first day. Thats why i wasnt worried cause i knew it was possible to have periods during pregnancy. Its the worst thing ive ever been through and nobody deserves this. :-(

I agree. :hugs: I hope it starts to feel better soon. :hugs: x

Oh Ebs, I am so, so sorry hun  I have been meaning to contact you to see how you were doing, I was so pleased that you were expecting. I completely know how you feel, particularly what you say about having been trying a long time (we were a year) for this then to happen :nope:

I have just replied to your private message to me hun but not sure it has sent. If it hasn't, I was basically saying please don't let this make you give up or be scared to try again. You only have to look on this miscarriage support to see just how many of us this happens to, it's horrid :nope: I have personally also been amazed at how many people it has happened to that I know off the forum, that I have only found out about since telling them about my mc. And a hell of a lot of them had it happen with their first pregnancy.

I asked in my private reply to you what your options were now but I see you have decided to let things happen naturally. Hopefully, as you have already had some spotting and cramping (I had nothing at all) it will sort itself out for you soon  I had medical management for mine as I had got to 12 weeks with no spotting or anything, even though :baby: had died around 6 weeks  I gave it another week after my scan but no sign of anything, body was holding on tight!! For me physically this was nowhere near as bad as I thought, I never had heavy bleeding or bad pain, bled like a period for a few days and then it went to spotting which stopped 2 weeks after the medical management.

If things don't happen for you soon hun maybe consider this form of treatment, it just encourages your body to miscarry and involves taking a tablet by mouth one day and then having internal pessaries a day or two later. It doesn't involve any surgery or invasive procedures. I wanted to avoid a D&C because I worried surgery may be more likely to do some damage that could affect ttc in the future  This is unlikely but I wanted to do it more naturally by just encouraging my body to do it.

Message me any time hun if you want any info or just to chat. Thinking of you, take care of yourself :hugs:
