Moms who had nightmare deliveries..

I'm still traumatised by the birth. (induction that lasted 4 days, forceps, episiotomy and massive bleed). I wasn't the first one to feed, dress my baby etc as I was so poorly from it.

I've been left with an episiotomy that still hasn't healed and a double prolapse from it.

Not sure if any of you ladies have looked onto it but I'm having a birth review at the hospital soon. I need answers. My HV referred me as I'm still do upset about it all.

I was talking about our labours today with my NCT group and we concluded that out of the 7 of us, had we had our babies 100yrs ago 3 of us certainly would have died and a 4th probably would have bled out. Makes me very grateful for modern medicine. x

I had quite a bad time of it, induction, forceps, episiotomy and loss of blood. I felt so traumatised. LO was stuck and i told them so but a stupid consultant said 'it is labour dear, don't push for an hour and we will review you'. well i needed to push (and had been pushing with midwifes knowledge prior to this), they had even got the delivery pack ready so they must have thought baby was coming.... so i had to wait and an awful hour later the consultant came back and we were rushed to theatre for forceps.
I am having a birth review soon to discuss my birth.
i was really upset about it all for about a month but now i can reason with myself that he made it here safely and that is ultimatly all that matters. I still want another baby one day but i need answers as to why certain things happened in my birth and also because LO was so big and got stuck i would like an early induction next time.
