I am in such a frickin mess woth money :cries:
I've been trying to stick to a budget since I started my new job in august, but there's been a lot of financial upheaval in our family and consequently I've suffered quite a bit.
Today I had a letter from my bank, saying I'm over £400 over my overdraft (bad enough right) and I also have another £300 worth of charges to pay.
So I ring them, explain the situation, ask if I can enter into a payment plan etc etc, get transfered to the correct department (bearing in mind here, I'm already in debt right) and the bloke goes "Your account is £x overdrawn today, can you make a credit card payment to clear this?" I burst into tears!!
Anywhooser, they've agreed to let me pay it off at about £100 for, well a while let's put it that way. However, if I ever go even a penny overdrawn again I have to pay it all back immediately, I've been trying to drill this into OH so he can pay me his half of the rent... but no, he will not listen!! "I'll give you the rent when I can... I had to pay off my credit card" That's right, pay off the full £300 balance, not a payment, but the full balance knowing full well that he would then not have the money for the rent for another two fucking weeks.
Which, after paying rent (to my mother!), direct debits and a pittance for food, means I have £20 left to my name every month for glasses dentist clothes (I get my clothes ripped a lot at work!) etc.
I AM A COMPLETE FOOL
It's only temporary as I'm supposed to be starting full time in the next 3-4 months but still I am stressing out to no end!
Sorry for the rant/bitch/moan, I needed to get it out without battering my OH!
