Hi ladies,

We are entering cycle 12 of TTC baby #3. It took 3 years with baby #1 and 12 months with baby #2.

This time, Hubbys BMI is higher (He was a soldier and very fit before hand), So i'm not sure if this will effect our chances

Are there any supplements to try for the men? Maybe juices to help sperm, vitamins?

I've got my hubby on Wellman Conception. He doesn't have any issues with his sperm but I figure it can't hurt for him to take a decent multivit. I've seen on other threads where some women have got their OH on FertilAid for men.

You can always do a quick search on Amazon, they've got loads of different brands for men. There's not much on the high street so online is your best bet.

I had my husband take the Wellman conception tablets (I think that's what they're called) and we did fall pregnant 3 months later (which I'd imagine it would take that long to have an effect as I think sperm takes 3 months to develop, something like that). I also had him taking zinc, eating nuts (can't remember which ones), lots of things. Maybe give Pre-Seed a go. That works wonders! x

Honestly, most of the actually research I've read has indicated that what men do matters a heck of a lot less than what women do. Even smoking, drinking, gaining weight, etc. only makes a marginal difference. Totally unfair!

Of course - always a good idea to be as healthy as possible! But likely some weight gain won't affect his sperm motility or anything.

I am now on my cycle 13 of TTC (11 cycles BFN, 12th cycle BFP with chemical pregnancy)

My doctor did actually say that she didn't believe in all these male fertility drug things that you can buy and giving certain supplements. She said she thinks a lot of the time, it's the placebo effect. You think it's working so it does. My husband is an on/off smoker and I have to say I think all three times I've fallen pregnant by him (actually 4 times), he's been a smoker! x
