After 10 yrs on the pill, I came off the pill on 15th December 2009, we got our BFP on 25th Jan 2010 and sadly MC on 4th Feb 2010.

We think we might not wait for AF to come - although the EPU nurse said it might be best for dating and also to give me time to recover.

My fear is if I MC again, how it will affect me/us. And if we started TTC straight away and got our BFP and I MC again - would we be to blame for not waiting?

We are devastated and I've been very tearful but been ok today apart from walking by tiny babygrows in Debenhams earlier today:nope: but feel guilty that I haven't cried as much today. Luckily I stopped bleeding yesterday, but still feel a little delicate to do the deed so we're gonna wait until Valentines Day.

any experience or advice?

I think these are thoughts we all have going through mc - the worry of what if's for next time and how upsetting it is to see reminders of what you have lost along with all the hopes and plans you had built around the baby that you already got so excited about and already love.

For a majority of couples there is no harm or added danger in ttc right away but definitely do take time to recover - you are grieving and will go through whole ranges of emotions before you feel totally fine - there is no rush.

Also your body will also be unlikely ovulate for a couple of weeks so at least give yourself this time and get there whenever you are ready.

So sorry you are going through this - make sure you get plenty of hugs and love from those closest to you.

:hugs: hx

I am so sorry for your loss. I like you wonder the same things.. my last loss was 3 weeks ago but DH and I decided to try right away so am now in the waiting period to see what happens.

You are right it is just for dating purposes that your supposed to wait, there are no other medical reasons that you should not try straight away.

For such an early MC I don't see why you couldn't try again. My BF did and she is now 15 weeks! BUt only do it if you want to - your body will tell you when it is ready to make a baby for you again. x

Thanks everyone, we had a chat tonight and we ARE going to start trying again on Valentines Night. Not looking forward to work tomorrow and husband has gone to work for 12hour nights all week so hoping I don't get too down being on my own all week.
