MORE TESTS PAGE 8: 9 weeks after giving birth and positive pregnancy test?

I tested at 5 weeks pp out of curiosity and it was stark negative. But every body is different. Could definitely be left over hcg.

Hey Susan! Iv had a really poorly little girl and only just got on to stalk this thread again!! Been wondering all morning! I have had some evaps on those tesco tests before, but it's weird to get 2 so similar. But I'd think if they were bfps ud get a line on a superdrug one as like others have said they're one of the most sensitive u can get in a shop ( I think 15 miu, and I think tesco are 25 miu but don't quote me!) also, it seems to say online that most people would test negative between 3-5 weeks after giving birth, so 9 weeks does sound along time. Confusing! Anyhow let us know what happens when u test again though! Hope u get the result u want. I totally agree that newborns compared to toddlers, looking back, are a lot easier!they sleep so much and you can plonk them in a bouncy chair and they'll be quite happy while u get on with doing things. Toddlers are another matter entirely! I don't know how you do it with one of each (though I guess il find out in 6 months or so, though I'm also already looking forward to the stage where they'll entertain each other hopefully!). Great that ur eldest is a good sleeper, I so miss those long naps they have! Amy has one hr at lunch some days but that's it! She had a bit of a sickness bug yesterday but seemed ok by evening, but she woke screaming at 1 and her bed was just full of sick poor thing, was up all night with her after that and she's been really poorly all day so feeling shattered! I miss sleep!!!!

Oh no, I hope your little girl feels better soon. I had a pretty crappy night last night. My eldest as always slept like a dream but my youngest was up partying until god knows what time. I'm pretty sure he was awake from 12.30am until 7.30am! He wanted feeding, then he wanted changing then he just wanted to be awake and was cooing to himself (which gave me the giggles - I get a bit hysterical when I'm knackered!). Then I can't get that "we're gonna sleep all day and party all night" song out of my head! That is my youngest!

The pictures don't really show the line on the Tesco test but I actually would say it's slightly darker than yesterday's one but the Superdrug one is a definite negative. I did another Superdrug one a couple of hours ago and looks negative again but that stupid window on it has steamed up so I can't really tell. I've ordered some of the tests that I used when I was pregnant with both of my boys. Hopefully they'll come tomorrow. With both of them, they were just as good if not better than FRER. I did an IC this morning and there was a line which is still there now but they always give off lines so I never trust them. I do love to POAS even if I don't want to be pregnant! In some ways I do, but mostly I don't. But I've only heard good things about Superdrug tests so I trust that more than the Tesco one.

Anyway, will update again maybe later (I still have a couple of ICs I think) or tomorrow when I take the other Superdrug one x

I think these are better pictures of my Tesco tests. The ones on the left are yesterdays and the ones on the right are today's. I don't think you can see the lines on the Tesco one from yesterday in the picture but it is there (albeit faint).

Oohh, I do see a faint one in the test on the right, and it looks pink to me! Didn't another lady say she knew the tesco ones had picked up as low as 5 miu before? I know when I was pregnant with dd I got a vv faint one on a tesco test at 8 dpo, like urs it dried darker and pink, I tested the next day but not till eve and it was a smidge darker, I then used frers, so I can't say how early a SD would have picked up, but this pregnancy I was surprised that they weren't very dark when my frer was nearly as dark as the control. So, lots of random unless info for u there, but hey I love obsessing over tests too!! Oh and I hate ICs too, they're crap till ur about 30 weeks pregnant(!) though interesting if there is a line on them for u too. I also am a bit of a poasa, peed on them till 6 wks this time and I got the hook effect, wish I'd known about the tests u mentioned as frers nearly bankrupted us!!

Haha, u made me laugh with images of ur 9 wk old baby partying! I know what u mean by getting a bit hysterical, i had " wind the bobbin up" going through my head the whole night (grandparents sang it to dd complete with hand movements over Xmas!!) so by 7 am I felt totally mental, I'm sure u did too!! I hope u have a better sleep tonight, I hope I have a better sleep tonight else I may be a jabbering wreck by morning if I spend another night washing sick from duvets whilst singing that song over and over in my head!!!!

Oh yeah, I was POAS until I got bored. I tell you, the only cure for a POAS addiction is when you are pregnant and the lines get darker than the control line. Nothing to obsess over! Those access diagnostic tests saved me a fortune. And they are really good.

Oh god, I had wind the bobbin up in my head all over Christmas because my friend was singing it! I think I'd rather have my song in my head than that one!

Right well I shall update again when I do another test which may be tomorrow morning. If I do one tonight, it'll only be an IC and we all know how rubbish they are! x

So true! I just added a ps to my last reply in case u missed it, I didn't realise right one was today's, it's def a tad darker! Looking forward to ur next ones, will be interesting to see what happens, hopefully u get an answer soon!

bettybee: No definitely not trying. Just haven't been taking precautions although we've only had sex twice since I gave birth. I planned to get the pill when I have my 8 week check on the 8th. As we have fertility issues on my husband's side (our first took over 3 years and our second I thought we just got lucky), I thought we were pretty safe. Plus I'd only just stopped bleeding after giving birth when we last had sex so really didn't think that it could be possible. It was only the day after we had sex, that I noticed EWCM!

It was me who got a pos with a Tesco test and my beta was 3. I went on to MC but it still showed up a pos

Susan you must have ovulated straight away. I can definitely see the line on your latest test and it looks just how mine did at about 9dpo. Do you know how many dpo you could be? Are you breast feeding?

No I didn't breastfeed this time. I didn't get a period for 14 weeks (possibly longer) after having my first (and I only combination fed for 2 weeks) so I thought it would be a long time before I ovulated. I can't actually remember when we last had sex. I think it was a couple of days before Christmas. I reckon if I have ovulated, then I could be about 9dpo because I had EWCM the day after. But then I usually get that a while before I ovulate. I have no idea really x
