MORE TESTS PAGE 8: 9 weeks after giving birth and positive pregnancy test?

and pcake, I now have wind the bobbin up looping through my brain :haha:

Nooooooo!!!! I had another night of it going through my head whilst washing sicky duvets! But I picture my partners parents doing the hand actions whilst I sing it which just makes it even worse somehow!!! :ignore:

Have u tested this morning? X

I had a lovely night's sleep last night thankfully! Tested again this morning and I thought I saw a faint something on the Superdrug so I thought sod it, I'm going to Tesco to get some more of their tests. Perhaps they are super super sensitive and besides which, if the line got darker then I thought it would give me a clearer picture. So I had to wait for my mum to come and sit with the boys so I could go. Then I went to Tesco and they didn't have any in stock!!! I was a woman on a mission and decided I'd go and get one from Asda which I just did.

I wasn't sure about the Superdrug one so I opened it up a couple of hours after I did it and I could see something but I think that it appeared after I opened the test so I'd say it's negative. Did the Asda one and, again, I feel like I can see a faint something but something that I would rule out if it hadn't have been for the Tesco tests. Here's a few pictures which I'm not sure show anything at all. I'm hoping the postman brings my Instalert tests today. I really trust those tests and there strip tests so you can examine every inch of it a lot easier than those ones with the windows. Will update if my postman brings me my other tests x

I just took one of the dip ones that I also got in Asda for the bargain price of 99p. Don't see anything on it and my Asda one now has a line on it but it just looks like a big fat grey evap line. Ah the saga continues. Mind you, I love this obsessing over it because I'm not bothered either way. But I'm thinking that those Tesco tests were probably just faulty.

I've never had an evap like that on a asda test trust me after trying for 5 years I wanted evaps sometimes lol!!! Think something is going on in there xx

So jealous of ur sleep! Just tried to light hob and leant down to get a pan and set my hair on fire! Luckily hasn't done any serious damage but I think I need a good sleep too!!!! I blame wind your bobbin up. Stupid song!

Sooo, ur tests! I can see the line on the asda, but I'm sure I can see something on the asda dip strip too? But u say the asda is grey? Have u tried diluting ur wee and seeing what happens in case it's the hook effect? Unlikely maybe as I think ud get a hint of something on the Sd at least, but maybe worth checking? Just weird that the less sensitive tests are seem to be showing something.

I really hope ur tests arrive in the post! Will be watching for updates and singing wind the bobbin up too probably!):help:
Xx

Ah I just want my other tests to come because I trust those. I've looked again but the window is still a bit smeared but I swear the line has a touch of pink to it. But I just don't get it. The lines I got on my Tesco tests were there, no doubting it. I took the first one two days ago and the other one yesterday. Yesterday's one was definitely a tad darker. But surely it would show on a Superdrug one, even if it was just really faint. I'm now worrying myself thinking what it if it's retained placenta and that's causing the faint lines. I'm definitely going to speak to my doctor on the 8th about it. See what she says.

Fingers crossed my other tests arrive today. My bloody postman is a nightmare. I remember the days when the post arrived before I left for school in the morning. Now days, I'm lucky if it arrives in the morning! x

Haha, I've singed my eyebrows on the hob before!!! I didn't realise until the next day. That was one drunken night trying to light a cigarette long before my babies arrived and I had to stop all that!

Well I did think about the hook effect but I've read about it before and it seems that that would happen once your HCG peaks. Something like that. I don't have enough tests at the moment for me to justify doing it at the moment. If my others arrive today, then I'll give it a whirl.

This is fun! I enjoy analysing pregnancy tests. It's even more fun when you aren't desperate to be pregnant! x

I really want to crack open the Asda test but I'm resisting as I know from many years of TTC that doing that often creates fake pink lines! x

So the postman finally came at 2pm!! And he had my tests! Woohoo! So I took one and not seeing much, although definitely something but I think evap. When I took these tests with my boys, there was no doubting for me that it was positive. This looks like an evap. Probably doesn't even pick it up in the pic. Going to try the dilution thing as well and see what happens. I now have plenty of tests to play with that I won't need after this because we won't be trying for a baby for a good few years!

I thought i would let you know that Superdrug were the lightest tests for me when i used them compared to others your asda test looks like a line i got at 10 dpo and i was deffo pregnant,i think you should test with a free as when my asda test was like yours i got a much clearer line on a free still faint but easier to see, also i would doubt its a retained placenta by now as you would have had other symptoms i would of thought good luck and update when you next test.x

Thanks quail. FRER have always been my favourite tests but these dip ones that I have now were always just as good, sometimes better. Mind you, it does seem that every pregnancy reacts differently with tests. I really wanna grab some more Tesco ones. So typical they have none in stock!! x

I do see the faint line in the new test as you said still very faint not sure what to think

lol, everytime i wanted tescos they never had any in stock.i would go get a free if you go to a local chemist they are normally 7.50 7.99 compared to 10.50 in boots etc for 2 also if you've got a boyes near you they do some that are1.50 and really sensitive, good luck.x

i see a faint line on your ICs.. not sure if they would be darker though considering you got a faint line on a tesco a few days ago!
when is your 8 week appointment? i would definately see if you can get bloods done
good luck!

My 8 week check is on 8 January so on Wednesday. I'm hoping I'll have some answers before then anyway but I will definitely mention it x

well by then a faint line would definately be dark! have you tried a digi yet? even though all these expensive tests dont seem to work as good as cheapies half the time!

No haven't tried a digi. Can't really justify the price and I'm pretty certain now that I'm not pregnant. I really want to get another Tesco test to see if that shows anything again. I don't feel pregnant at all (although I did have a few mad cleaning days last week which was the only bizarre symptom I had with my first). I may pop to the other Tesco to see if they have any in stock. Betting they haven't. Just because they are the only tests that have shown proper pink lines. If they're darker on those, then I can take them to my doctor on Wednesday. I don't think there'd be any point in taking the Tesco ones I've already done as the lines are faint and doctors probably don't take those very seriously. So if they're darker, then I can ask her what's going on x

This is the test from this morning. All I think I can see is an evap.
