Morning sickness comes and goes anyone else

It freaks me out. When I am sick I think everything is fine. Then I get feeling ok and I think what is up. I am 8wks and scan says that all is well. Do others have this. My other pregnancies I was sick all the time with no relief.

My symptoms are on an off too. I am 7wks +2days. I freaked out at first because I thought I had lost all symptoms, but they feel better or worse from day to day so now I try not to read too much into it, otherwise I'll drive myself nuts. As long as your scan looks good, that's what matters.

I think its more common for the nausea to be on/off rather than full-on 24hrs a day.

So, yes with both pregnancies it comes and goes, I only have nausea for an hour mid-morning and an hour at night - rest of the day I feel great

I've not even had it. Get nausea for about 5 minutes sometimes in the morning, then it goes and I'm fine for the rest of the day. Go figure!

I'm the same way...morning sickness/nausea left me for nearly a week then I started throwing up everyother day again. It's weird because it's like my morning sickness has changed from how it was when it just started at 6weeks. It's a different feeling in my throat now..I hope it's just slowly subsiding.

But I had freaked myself out also so when I went in on Monday I asked the doctor and she told me it surely will come and go, they worry about your nutrition when you're sick 24/7 and throwing up constantly so be happy that you feel normal some of the time. I also have read on here several posts where women say almost all of their symptoms come and go.

I think it's normal hun!

Im so glad to see this post! This is pg #3 for me and I was CONSTANTLY sick with the last 2- all the time, every single day. I had terrible sickness during weeks 5 and 6 with this one, but I woke up one day last week and felt FINE. It completely freaked me out. The next day I was back to feeling awful, and it has come and gone since. When I have an absence of sickness I try to just feel blessed and eat what I can when I can. Its funny how pregnancy makes you a crazy person...most people would be rejoicing if their nausea went away!

mine has been like that throughout my pregnancy so far (11wks on friday) it kind of comes and goes, I will go days without feeling sick or throwing up, and then I will have a day where I can't keep anything down, or I will randomly be like 'oop, gotta go puke!" and then I'm back to my day feeling fine. Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different so I'm sure you're fine. My husband said the cutest thing the other night after I puked, he said "It makes me happy when you throw up babe" of course I replied "WTF?! WHAT KIND OF A THING IS THAT TO SAY?!" and he said "Because I know it's because we're having a baby " haha I thought it was cute, boys are funny.

That is cute, the first time I threw up I called my husband because we were both sort of waiting around for morning sickness...this was our call:

Me: I just threw up in the kitchen sink after looking at last night's dinner.
Hubby: YYYYAAAAAAYYYYYY!
Me: I know, I'm so happy!

I swear you turn to insanity when your eggo is preggo!

LOL I know this thread is a couple months old, but I just started having morning sickness and my husband actually said he was happy that I was sick! I know what he means and I'm a bit relieved that I'm sick too, but at the time I was like... OH COME ON! Not Funny!

Ohhh the thread is old. I was just looking at some of the above posters and I was like, why are they here? They're 25 weeks along!
Now that I've read it, I might as well join in.
My ms comes and goes, too. In fact, lately, it's barely around at all. I'll get a random 5-minute wave of nausea and then nothing for hours or even days. It scares me, too, until I get another wave.
And actually, the tiredness is the same way. I'll have all kinds of energy and then one day all of a sudden I'll be so exhausted I barely know my name.
Pregnancy is such an odd thing, isn't it?

Wish mine would come and go. I can keep one small sandwich down a day and everything else is strait back up even water on some days . I work in an offlicence and the shop is shut more then its open while im throwing up lol xx

When I am really feeling sick, MY husband likes to remind me that it is because I have a 'Strong Celtic baby' growing inside me. Like that makes it any better!

He is hilarious isn't he.

I freak myself out too! I'll have like days of puking and then yesterday AND today I've felt 100% and eating anything I want to! It's weird though how terrible m/s is, but it's oddly comforting!
