I know this sounds slightly bizarre, but I wondered if anyone wants to join me in a morning sickness support thread.
This is my second baby, and I'm 9 weeks tomorrow. With my little boy I was violently ill for weeks, and felt sick for the whole pregnancy. This time I am also really suffering, and it has been really getting me down. It is doubly hard this time, as I am trying to look after my lovely little 18 month old, and it is proving a real struggle.
In the past, I've received so much helpful support from ladies on Baby & Bump, so I thought maybe a few of us could support each other here too.

I will join you! Although not actually being sick I have constant nausea and I'm gagging just brushing my teeth or if I cough. I'm feeling quite down about it and really struggling to do anything. No one knows at work so that's proving really difficult too when I have to cover up how ill I'm feeling! What kind of things have you tried? Nothing seems to work for me, just hope it's not going to last the whole way through, don't think I could take it!

Joining you too hun, 9+3 and I feel like the walking dead! x

Join you for sure. Over the last week it's got worse, and I would be sick atleast ten times a day. If I had nothing in my tummy I would throw up tummy acids. I lost nearly a stone and a half already and feel so weak. Couldnt keep anything down, not even water . Just like you I have another young one at home, a 23 month old girl and feel as if I am neglecting her which makes me feel even worse. I got some tablets as I was badly dehydrated, and although I have been sick today, this was the first day in weeks I kept water in... I start to feel as if I am fighting a losing battle here :( good luck to all the other ladies and I hope we all will feel better soon x

Sorry to hear you are all also feeling rubbish, but I think it helps us all if we stick together. I'm also hiding it from work, as I've just been promoted and I don't want them to know I'm pregnant at the moment. Last time I had to be signed off from 9 to 15 weeks. I'm a teacher so this week I'm off for the half term, but I'm dreading Monday. Just don't know how I'll cope.
I've tried about everything there is. Mint tea, which I usually love, now makes me gag. I've been wearing Seabands for 4 weeks now, non-stop. I have permanent bruises on my inner wrists now. Ginger just reminds me of my last pregnancy, so makes me feel icky.
My doctor has prescribed me Promethazine, which makes me really drowsy, so I can only take it at night, once little one is in bed. It does seem to be helping a little bit though. I'm also taking 75mg of vit B6 a day (25 morning and 50 at night). Some of this must be helping, as by this point with my little boy I was throwing up every 10 mins, and wanted to die.
Having said that, the constant nausea and the intermittant throwing up is almost as depressing. It is so hard to cope with every day life when you are like this.
What things has anyone else found that helps, if anything?

I've found a local homoepath who specialises in pregnancy and childbirth. Think I am going to give her a call tomorrow. It will be expensive, but I am that desperate to beat this!

Hello can I join I'm 7 weeks pregnant and have a 2 year old son.
I had morning sickness with my first but this time round it is just horrendous I cant do anything I'm permanently lying on the sofa, I have been being sick constantly, luckily my doctor gave me some medicine cyclizine but she only gave me 15 tablets and said only take them if I needed them. I dont think she understands how sick I am, so unfortunately I need to make them last :dohh:

Doctors rarely seem to understand quite how sick we really are! Even some of the midwives seem to think I just mean that I feel a bit queasy! It is maddening!
