Sorry girls I know you get these all the time. It must get boring answering the same questions all the time.

I only really started feeling movements (kicks) properly around 23 weeks, come 24 weeks my other half could feel them. My placenta is anterior and I'm not sure what position little lady gas got herself into. Thing is this last week my movements haven't been as strong, I can't feel her much on the outside and she doesn't seem to be moving at the same times as she has for the last couple of weeks

For example, when i wake up in the morning, I usually just lie in bed for a little while, she has a little kick about for around 10 minutes then she goes quiet. I haven't felt this for 3-4 days now :(

Since this is my first pregnancy I font know whats normal and what's not and when or if I should be going to the hospital to be checked? Help??

I don't think at 23-24 weeks doctors ask that we keep count on kicks/movements yet because they can still be inconsistent. I don't think that starts until 3rd tri. And I know the anterior placenta makes feeling movement harder. Also remember babies don't really keep a schedule and it is really easy to not notice a movement. I'd say you are fine.

I try to tell people though to trust their mama instinct. If you are the type that always worries and you are just unsure then try to relax. But, if you really, really feel like something is wrong then seek a doctor's opinion. Have you tried calling your doctor's office? That could be an option for you too.

Perfectly normal. All babies are different and with this being your first, it's perfectly normal to worry.
She might be moving during the night while you're fast asleep.

If you feel worried or like something is wrong, phone your midwife and explain, she should be more than happy to help you :)

Thanks ladies, I guess I'm worrying over nothing, I am feeling her move but they are not as strong as they were say a week ago. I guess she could of moved though so now she's hiding behind the placenta or something.
If I start to feel that something is really wrong then I'll call someone.

Thank you for easing my mind :)

It's not a problem at all :)

She's still so small in there and has lots of room so she could be hiding out :) don't worry too much, my little boys movements vary a lot x

I could have wrote this post! I am 25 weeks pregnant and this is my 4th pregnancy but my first with an anterior placenta I called my midwife earlier this week as I was concerned about movements not being as strong she reassured me this was normal at this stage but said I could come see her & she would listen in with the doppler, when she listened in with doppler the heart rate was great and she could her him moving although I couldn't feel it am presuming because of my placenta position! If your worried you could call your midwife for reassurance although I am sure your baby like mine has probably just moved behind the placenta!

I stress all the time whether my LO is moving around enough or not so you're not alone:hugs:

They're still small and have plenty of wiggle space so they can find places to hide and kick about without us feeling it too strongly. Listen to your instinct though and never hesitate to call your doctor, that's what they're there for :)

Thank you. My midwife is on holiday at the moment. They have a stand in that I saw last week but she made me feel uncomfortable do I'd rather not. Plus I have my own Doppler anyway. I've checked her on the Doppler and her heartbeat is strong, I think your right she's just hiding from me. I think I felt hiccups or something earlier on(like a pulsing sensation, strange feeling) so my mind is eased for now. X

I know that's what they are there for but I'm the type of person that doesn't like to bother anyone unless it's a major emergency. I dunno I just feel like I'll be wasting their time and I don't want to do that. Like I said in my above post I have a Doppler, her heart is strong and I can hear movements so she's ok for now.

Thank you all again. X
