im 30weeks and finally got our big 3 bed we wanted so its def a good thing (5 of us at min in a 2bed!) ... and been told the moving date is in 4 weeks, i'll be 34weeks so not quite so bad as it could be i guess!
im really excited and over the moon cant wait to have a new house, but sooo much to do etc all in those 4 weeks - its in a new area too so new midwifes/doctors kids to book into schools and nursery etc and just hope that i can still have a homebirth!!

any one else had to or is planning to move in this last stage of pregnancy?
:)

can't offer any advice but wanted to say congrats on getting your house and good luck with the move
xx

me lol, I'm 33 and a half weeks now, signing papers next week then gotta get everything sorted and moved in lol.
Good luck :)

I think i'll be doing this to hun,
but difference is i'll be about 39 weeks when i move oh the joys!
xx

I am moving at 36 weeks, the only saving grace is we have very little to move because we came back from France with very little (clothes, bedding and towels) and have only the smallest amount of furniture now, so it shouldn't be too stressful to pack and unpack! Never an ideal time to move though.

I am also having a homebirth, and am delighted to be moving for this very reason, my midwife would not have allowed it at my last place due to black spot mold problems with the carpets and ceilings, which the landlord was refusing to fix. I am SO glad to be getting out of that dump!

I'm moving a week on Saturday (11th) & can't wait :happydance: I'll be 36weeks!!! I've got tons of energy though, and luckily my nesting instinct is starting to kick in so that'll come in handy when scrubbing the place top to bottom :D just remember not to over do yourself, and get OH/friends/family to do all the actual moving & heavy lifting!! Happy moving everyone hehe :flower: x

I'm moving this weekend - we get the keys tomorrow. Glad its not too late in the pregnancy as it takes me sooooo long to do anything at the moment because of spd! Am trying to finish up on packing today but not getting very far very fast! Will be great to finally have our own house though!

Ive just moved into my new house. I really should have waited though as its like an hour away from the nearest hospital, im so stupid :dohh:

We moved into our new house this weekend just gone and it was so stressful! I wanted to be doing things, but couldn't lift anything and got tired so easily. Hope yours goes smoothly hun!

Hi, Im 27+3 and we should be moving in 2-4 weeks, Ill not be as far on as you but I am suffering with SPD and Stress with work which Im currently signed off.
Its going to be a better quality of life so worth it but its the packing and waiting for a date that does my head in! At least I go on a/l in 3 weeks and then Mat leave.
Good Luck xx

Hi,
I moved at 35 weeks and it was horrific! Mainly my fault really... my husband, aunt and cousin did most of the work moving us out of our old property- by the time we moved into the new house it was a Monday and they had all gone back to work. The deal, according to my OH was that he was going to unpack the house that weekend. Whatever! My nesting instinct went into a megadrive and I unpacked every thing myself over the next 3 days, starting with the babies stuff, mine, the reception areas, hubbies clothes/crap and then finally left the kitchen for our cleaner who did it for me on the Saturday. My back and pelvis killed! I even went for a blood pressure check to make sure I was alright and fortunately I was.. I have no regrets though, when a mother needs to nest, she needs to nest and 5 days of sitting on a mountain of boxes is a fate worse than hell!
Yes, its do-able but try not to be as silly as me! I wont lie though, I was secretly hoping to induce labour... we wound up having an unrelated pregnancy scare at 36.1 weeks but as it turned out I was nowhere near dilated and my womb was still way up!!
