Moving on...

Its not right is it? You go through masses of invasive treatment to then have your personal life torn apart. Don't get me wrong, it will be a thousand times worth it but still, does make me mad when I think about it too deeply :dohh:

Yeah a moving on section seems obvious, sadly not all IF treatments are the miracle cure  FF has a crossroads section with a 'moving on' and an 'end of the road... or is it?' tread

Love to you all xxxx

:drunk: Ooooh Reb, just seen your post, wine sounds  We will be here for you and your hangover tomorrow :haha: xxxx

I could go for some wine right now! lol

Lolly, I just want to say that I hope everything goes great with your adoption. I pray that when you and your DH get your baby(ies), everything will go very smoothly for you! :) I hope I didn't upset you when I said that earlier about what I think would be said to us. It looks like I struck a nerve. My apologies to you if I did! :)

Reb, I do agree with Armywife that we should see about a "Moving On" forum. Seems like there is a forum for everything else. Maybe the moderators will see this and start one up for us!

Thank you uwa_amanda :hugs: thats really nice of you to think of me :hugs: no you really didn't upset me and much as the system makes me mad when I feel many good people and ultimately good parents to be are put off or rejected before being given a chance. But thats life I guess, all of this sucks one way or another :dohh:

Moving on thread just seems obvious... get them told :haha:

Lolly xxxx :flower:

Hello ladies! Wow - no hangover for me. My body picked up right where it left off a few years ago - quite happy to down half a bottle of wine, conk out and then feel fine the next day!
Still having moments of utter panic of having completely screwed up my entire life by not being able to have a family, but apart from that....!

Oh Reb, i know what you mean. Its horrible and I really sympathise. I'm not sure of any advice I can offer as it still hits me sometimes and all you are left with is the 'what ifs' swimming round your head :nope: Life can be a complete b**ch :growlmad: Are you working at the moment or have you taken some time out to get your head together?

Wow for the lack of hangover... I would say you are still drunk but at this time it is surely safe to say that you've gotten away with it

Hi Lolly - my work is the most unsympathetic place in the universe - one week after my ERPC they complained about me being overly critical and emotional...if that gives you a clue what they're like! Our latest IVF was done in utter secrecy and I worked right through it. Fortunately just happened to have a week off just before the end of the 2ww, and then I go back next weekend. OH is being wonderful and has just cooked a lovely roast chicken! Must go eat and drink more lovely wine! x

My bosses had a lovely conversation to me a couple of weeks ago about how my attitude has gone to shit (in so many words). Nobody realizes what kind of stress I am under and feel like they don't care. So don't feel like the Lone Ranger! LoL

So I now have to keep my comments and things to myself. It seems to work better that way. Lol :haha:

I agree, Uwe - work and TTC are best kept apart. After all, in many cases we're doing jobs men used to do and frankly they feel why should they put up with our emotional nonsense?! And often, we're doing the jobs much better than the men did! Hee hee! x

Oh my you crashed your car. Hmmm, sounds like it's time to reward yourself with a new vehicle!

Armywife - I'm REALLY hoping the insurance company writes it off....! It's a horrible car and very uneconomical. Fingers crossed!

Will keep fingers crossed. I must say, I'm loving those new Fiats. :cloud9:They kind of remind me of the VW Beetle.

Have you taken up any new hobbies?

booze. Not particularly enjoying it. Am working hard despite my heart not being in it at all x

I like the new Dodge car...I can't seem to remember the name of it. I wouldn't buy it though, since I don't drive Dodges. I currently have an '05 Toyota Corolla. When I ever decide to buy a new car, I'll either get me another Toyota or a Ford--either Fiesta or Fusion.

So what other things do yall do for hobbies? I don't do too much. I just hang out here at home. Sometimes me and DH will ride up to Tuscaloosa to do some shopping and such. During football season, I go to the Alabama home games with my dad (too much fun!). We only live about an hour away and go up there pretty frequently.

Ooops! It was a toyota corolla I went into the back of... not a bad accident though - very slow speed at a junction.
As to hobbies, my avatar is mine - he's 2 now and takes a LOT of exercise. It's good as I'm really down just now but that's no excuse for a young dog - you've just got to get out and walk him.

Dogs are definitely good company. We would have one if our landlord allowed pets.

Helloooo ladies

Reb, hope you are ok :hugs: the posts you ladies added about your work places are shocking :growlmad: Some people are just heartless, or just damn bitches!!! Sorry that you guys have to deal with that on top of everything else :hugs:

Hobbies wise, well I used to do karaste for 17 years until we moved away. Wish i had found a club close by as the last couple of years I could've done with an outlet for the rage! I haven't taken anything up as such as the past three years have been spent doing my degree alongside working full time. Get this... its in early years childcare and education :dohh: I finish 3 weeks tomorrow though so thinking I may start running or cycling. then again I may not.... xxxxxxxx

Oooo karate. Sounds quite useful!

I would love to take up cycling. One can lose weight and be eco friendly. Although, I'm not sure if there are any bike trails where I live.

How are you getting on Reb?

I'm getting by thanks, Armywife! Taking a huge interest in all the local kids, the mums are very happy! I babysat on on Weds; took one mum and baby out for lunch yesterday (she's a really good friend and my only non-cyber buddy who knew about IVF) and today I've got to take dog to vet so I'm taking my neighbours kid who's crazy about wanting to be a vet. It's quite fun but also makes me sad.
How's everyone else? Lolly, things seem to be moving really fast on the adoption front - wow. Can't remember, are you looking for a babby or a sibling group?
