Moving on...

Hi Guys!

Well I think I have joined you on the drinking front. I got wasted, and I mean WASTED on Friday night. Yesterday was a right off, I was being sick, head was literally spinning, I slep and puked the entire day. I must remeber I am not 18 anymore and I cannot handle it. Its not big or clever...

Having a bit of a crappy day. Tried doing an assignmnet for uni, its all about parent partnerships, bonding and attachement and how we should bend over backwards to accommodate all parents as they are the most important people in the world :nope: I know they are, its just hard writing about it and wishing so desperately that it was me, instead of being thbe other side, doing all the 'bending'!! I have started again like 3 times and have now quit before I cry

Reb, you sound so lovely taking all the kiddies on mini adventures with you  I can see why it must be hard, I understand how you feel, seeing their little faces light up can be bittersweet :hugs:

As for the adoption plan we have stipulated a preference at one child, but have said we are open to discuss sibling groups. We don't want to narrow our options too much, and who is to say we don't just get a 'feeling' from a profile we may have originally dismissed. we are a way off yet but its nice to have a plan.

I hope you are all well, Lolly xxxxx

No - but it's quite funny..!!! :hugs::hugs: hope your hangover has gone now. I think you're wise about the adoption feeling thing - there are so many bad stories out there, you have to follow your gut instinct to get it right x

Reb, you're so brave to babysit. How is it for you?

I babysat some when we found out about MF, wasn't looking forward to it but DH pushed me to do it. A potty training 2.5 year old and her 6 month old teething brother. It was nightmare the first few days, I was questioning if I really wanted children or not!

Armywife - I think everyone feels like that and it's supposed to be different when it's your own. But the ones I was looking after are all older and three of them were 'potted' as babies so their potty training is amazing! Their mum is a real earth mother and totally additive free, sugar free, potted since birth, still breast feeding at 18 months etc - wow. I always knew I'd never live up to her if we got one! But funnily enough she's always complaining! x
Your DH sounds wise! - make you see that life can be hard with kids!

I need a drink tonight!! :wine: If only I lived across the pond, we can have a nice night out in London...get completely pissed and stumble home. :haha::haha:

Meh, we can do whatever we want since we're childless. At times (very few), it is nice.

Sometimes, when I hear someone at Walmart with a screaming baby/child, I start chanting to myself, "that's a perk to being childless...that's a perk to being childless..." :haha:
