MW in Central Texas?

I am all for having a home birth, my DH is not yet. . . but hopefully will be soon. Our problem is, we live in Waco, TX and there are NO MW's (that I know of) within about a 80 mile radius of us. Anyone out there know of any close to us? or that are willing to travel? Thanks in advance! Oh, and we aren't expecting yet, I just feel as though we will be soon, and I like to be prepared

I started seeing my MW before I got pregnant. She offered pre-conception counseling. Going over diet and such. While I was already doing all the 'right' things, it was nice to start building that relationship, and just having someone to talk to.

I didn't know they did that! Well good to know I still have to sell my husband in the idea of a home birth or a birthing center. He says home birth is too dangerous because we are 10 minutes from a hospital and he doesnt like the birthing center idea because of how far away it is. He wants our families to be able to be there. I tried to explain to him that I will be in labor for a while, more than likely, so they will have plenty of time to get there. . . But he doesn't agree. It also doesnt help that he works in a hospital. Thanks again ladies!

Do an interview with a MW and have him ask questions. I think DH's feel a lot better to be able to have a chance to ask quesitons and voice their concerns.
