My Bump!

Becks, I'm 5'10" and had a bit of a sleepless night last night after seeing all the bump photos on here. Have emailed OH this morning to ask if he thinks I should be showing. I've got a bit of a pot belly but to be honest I had that before!
He says it's probs cos I'm tall. How tall are you? Maybe we should start a survey?

Well Im 5'8" and the same as you. Had our 20 week scan and i was sure they were going to tell me the baby was small, but he's actually really long as well!

Theres also an old wives tale about if you have a boy you dont carry extra weight, but that might not be true!

Either way, Im tall, having a boy and haven't put on barely any weight.

Thanks Linzi. It's so hard to know if things are right. When my OH emailed back he told me to pop down to our local baby club! I asked him what he meant and he said "I dunno; you get baby clubs don't you where you go and ask all these questions". Thankfully have found this online "baby club"!

I am 5'7 and my bump popped about 18 weeks as well. I swear it popped again this past week.

Thank you all so much ladies for your advice.. as far as the tallness thing goes.. I am 5'8 and weigh 170.. so I'm feeling very FAT!.. I DID notice my inner thighs now touch eachother which they never did before I must be putting on too much weight But I'm watching what I eat now for SURE!!!!

I hope tall people do get bumps, I am 5ft 9inches and still have the tiniest bump ever. I'm still hoping I'll wake up with one soon, and my baby boy is big which means i may be further on. Maybe its true?? xx

So it's just a case of we're all different then? Honestly, I didn't worry at all in 1st trimester which is when you'd probably expect I would have. I think the fact that I have no symptoms at all is scaring me. Maybe others would say I'm lucky?

I'm 5'10" and with my first I wasn't showing where anyone could really tell until I was nearly in my third trimester.

This one I didn't really show and could still (though not very comfortably) wear my non-pregnancy pants into the first part of my second trimester. I wanted to be comfy though, and had the maternity clothes so I started wearing those at about 14 weeks.

DH is just starting to say I really look pregnant now.

"Oh, so I just looked like a bloated cow for the last 6 weeks huh, honey?"

(I should mention I was about 155-160 pounds when I got pregnant with my first, and I was about 175-180 when I got pregnant with this one.)

I'm 5'11 and 155lb, so from the sounds of it I'm going to have to learn to be patient! Just bloated so far, but I guess it's still early days.
