Sorry for the super late update!
I've been reading your posts but haven't really had time to comment. Tessa is doing well I think. I get her weighed Friday. We've had some small attachment issues so I'm hoping now we have them sorted she gains weight. She sleeps well during the day and likes to play at night!*
Labour was a totally different experience! Got to the hospital at midnight. Expected to be sent home as they were busy but the midwife said I could stay after the ctg monitoring. It was the same midwife who was at the delivery of my son and she remembered us (son has a uncommon name). Got to the suite and settled onto the bed for an exam. I was only 4cm but "stretchy"?! I asked for some pethadine to help me sleep and requested an epidural as well. My pain was all in my back and reminded me of the horrible time I had with my son.*
She went out to do my paper work and as soon as she left my water broke! That was an odd feeling (didn't happen with C)!*
Steve went and Told them and they came back in to check the liquid was clear which it was
I went to clean up and the man came in for the epidural. Midwife checked me again and. Could hear her counting 4...5...6....7...8.....9... 10... No time for an Epi
that was the worst news I'd heard in a long time!! I even begged for it and started to get pretty stressed about it but the man told me he'd stay in case I needed help with delivery (first child was large and I'm small). We had the Anasetic guy (I can't spell)! 3 midwives and the dr on call was there for delivery just Incase we needed help.
Managed to deliver her naturally though (with a lot of screaming)!!! 2nd degree tearing same as my son but I did it on my own with no help and no pain relief!!*
Better feed this little missy again! I've been feeding constantly for 2.5 hours :-/
