I'm doing ok, had a bit of brownish discharge tonight which has me worried. I'm seeing my midwife on Wed. so hopefully it doesn't get any worse.

Sunflower.............I hope you're doing good. How is the back pain? I think you should get a clear blue digital...or any digital pt. It'll detect any bit of hcg and tell you "positive/pregnant" or "Negative/Not Pregnant". It takes away alot of the guessing game. Your period is already due if not late so that'll work perfect.

Tom for a follow up for a test I had done
Last week should I ask him for blood work
Done or wait a few days and see if af shows
Up

I saw my widwife yesterday and she reassured me that the brown discharge was nothing to be worried about, she told me it was probably just from cervical irritation or leftover from implantation and that everything was looking good. Phew! I also got good news that my new bloodwork showed that my thyroid levels had gone done to within the normal range so I won't have to be on medication for my whole pregnancy. Thanks everyone for being so thoughtful

good to hear everything is going well, abagail! if i'd seen this earlier, i would have commented. brown discharge is so, so normal. you'll actually experience all kind of discharge, which is gross, but true you'll even get tan, yellow and thick discharge. so gross, but good to know!
my doctor told me that it's normal unless it's accompanied by pain, or if it's bright red blood (which in most cases, is still rather normal)

Thanks jtink, my midwife pretty much said the same thing - that you should only worry if it's bright red and accompanied with pain/cramping. It's so easy to get freaked out when you're still early in pregnancy, once I get past the 12 wk mark hopefully I won't worry so much!
