Hi everyone,
Having a testing time with my little girl at the mo, she is 5 months old & has suddenly become really clingy. We have just spent the wkend with friends & she wouldnt let them near her, she will smile at people when she is on my knee but as soon as they come near to pick her up she screams but stops instantly as soon as she comes back to me.
We do spend lots of time with other people & babies but thinking about it she still is with me. I really dont want to end up with a clingy baby so not sure whether there is something I could do or do we just ride it out as a phase? It has been like this for around 3 wks now & she is teething so I do wonder if that is why.
Please dont get me wrong I love the fact my little girl wants to be with me all the time but I also really want friends to have a lovely cuddle without being terrified & also for her to feel confident with other people.
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to handle this? At the mo I just take her back as most people get quite worried but I do wonder if that is the right thing.
Any thoughts would be great, thanks so much, Katie x
