My Testing Thread -

Happy New Year's Eve/Day to all! Although I've got another 20 minutes until 2012.

@Haylee, good job! The OPK from 5 pm looks positive. I hope you did enough BDing! Here are my OPKs and HPTs since Dec 30. The last one (which I took today at 11 pm) is once again, starting to appear closer to positive. I guess this means I need to start testing every 4 hours again. We did the deed about 2 hours ago, excited about that! I'm praying that my temps start rising again.

So are you counting the OPKs from yesterday as a positive?

Happy new year! :hugs:
I thought the 5pm opk was positive too but now I've had a look this morning and they've dried, it is slightly lighter than the control line. Only just! It's probably border-line +ive

Your last opk is reasonably dark compared to the rest, I think your getting close :yipee: it's great we can confirm O with opk and temp rise, Good luck, KUP xxx

:dust::dust:

Okay, here is another picture of the OPKs I am taking. The only difference from the previous pictures to this one is an added OPK, the last one from the bottom. I took that one on 01 Jan at 1:30 in the morning. And I think I FINALLY have my positive OPK. Tell me what you think, please.

This is ridiculous. I am happy, yet confused a bit. I am pretty sure once I wake up in a few hours, the OPK I plan to use will not be positive, or even as dark as this last test, which means my LH surge is crazy short! Ah. I'm just glad hubby and I bd'd a couple of hours ago lol.

I would count your 5 pm OPK as positive since I'm sure the instructions says to disregard the results after 5 to 10 minutes. If the test line was darker within the time limit, go with that. That's why I take a picture five minutes after I have utilized the tests.

Welcome to the year 2012!!

That opk looks so close to positive, if not positive, kind of llike my 5pm one :D!! Next time you test I'm sure it'll be like my opk today, Blaring positive!!

I take my photos at about the 7 minute mark, but yeah once it dried it was slightly lighter as you can see in the progression. Today is a definite +ive so I'll just go with that :) I am hoping when I test tomorrow it is a blatent negative! Is that the case? Or do they gradually get lighter ? :dohh: xx

Every woman is different when it comes to regression. I've seen some women on here that show not even a hint of a second line until the obvious positive, and then it's immediately stark white afterwards. And I have also seen the fade out. It really depends, and I think neither option matters. As long as you got that positive, you're good! I'll let you know how mine goes, if they gradually get lighter or just disappear altogether soon after.

I JUST GOT A POSITIVE OPK :yipee:

I'm going to keep testing though xxxx

Yay, you caught it. Hope to see mine look like that in a few days. Had to take my tests early yesterday and today because of travel and being with a bunch of my inlaws, but they both look like all the other tests I have and my temp was still low yesterday. If I am really lucky I can sneak a poas later this afternoon, but I doubt it with all his extended family around.

Hi Lovetoteach  I hope you get the chance to poas again :), could you poas beofre you jump in the shower and then by the time your finished you will have results and no one would be the wiser :haha:
We had OH's little brothers over last night so I didnt get the chance to poas again yesterday, I have an hour until I poas today, I wonder if it will be negative
xx Good luck, I hope your enjoying your time with the inlaws :)

Hay Lovebotlass, did you poas ? was it darker xx

Another positive, what happens now? Does this just mean I am surging like crazy? Is it bad?
I need an opk professional

pic.jpg

EDIT - I just took my temperature, for only god knows why, and it's 36.9, a degree higher than my BBT, that seems like a big difference?!?!? Should I ignore this? :dohh:

YOur temperature raises dramatically after getting out of bed. Just ignore it. I usually have a ayor two of positive opks before iovulTe. It's ok. gl!

How long was that pic taking after you took that test? It looks like yesterday was your big surge

Thanks charlie_lael :hugs: I don't even know why I picked up the thermometer :haha: xx

Hi sharnw  I took the pic before the 10 minute mark, but obviously the test from CD 17 is 24 hours old :) I think yesterday was stronger, but today is positive too so I guess there could still be 12 - 36 hours until I O
Would like to fastforward a few days and see these coverlines  hopefully

Thanks for your help ladies xx

Hi All!

Haylee congrats on the positive OPK! Go get busy!!! :winkwink:

I'm new to this site, but I have to say that I love all the good vibes and support here and hope you can help me understand my OPK results.

I poas religiously every day at 12noon (but I label these as my AM sticks), 4pm, and sometimes at 8pm. I attached a picture of my opks from the last few days and my DH and I swear we got a strong positive at 12noon on Day 18, and after that it appears to go down sliiiightly to a negative (even on my PM stick that same day!) then I feel like I'm getting mixed results after that! Please ignore the - and + signs I wrote on the sticks, because I have no idea if anything after day 18 really is a positive or a negative. But I will say that my very last stick, which I just did (Day 20, 4pm), appeared to be a strong positive.

I did feel some dull twinges and pain in my lower back and pelvic area on Day 18 and 19, and a little bit of EWCM (I wasn't expecting much cuz I took Clomid), but the DH and I have been BDing everyday anyway. And I've been very prone to headaches lately too (don't know if that is because of O or what).

What does this all mean!? I haven't been temping as much as I should have because I'm a bit of a restless sleeper, but from temping last month and a bit this month, my pre-ov temps were in the 96.8 range, while my post-ov temps range between 97.5-97.8. I did temp myself yesterday (day 19) and my temp was 96.8, and I temped myself this morning at 97.2.

Oh and some quick background on me: I'm 26, DH is 29, We've been ttc for 11 months now. I'm diagnosed with hypothyroidism (which is controlled and my levels are at .83 yay!) and PCOS. This is my 2nd cycle of clomid (50mg). My first cycle of clomid was also at 50mg, and I DID ovulate (YAY!) but I also had several ruptured cysts when I O'd on Day 17 in my first clomid cyc so my doc told me no BDing (UGH, which was the LAST thing I wanted to hear!), so I got my AF on Day 31.

Thank you and baby dust to everyone!

Can anyone please look at my opks and tell me what they think?

THank you thank you thank you!

I got to pee on a stick sunday afternoon and this afternoon, both the exact same darkness as all my tests. Temp this morning still 97.4, but I have been getting more wet cm today. Don't know what day to expect to O as I have never tested before. So far I am on CD15, so I guess I could possibly still have a few days to go, we shall see.

Hi Angel719

I'm in the same boat as you, kind of. My opk's are doing the same for me :grr: I'll get a progression picture together soon so you can see what I mean. My opk's have been positive for 3 days in a row now, I've been poas at 2pm and 8pm, and my pm one always seems lighter. I'm so sorry that I really can't help you out on this one. I hope there is someone out there that can answer our question. :hugs: I was wondering if we can be Oing and still have a positive opk? I have no idea, I might go do some googling and see if I can find us an answer :hugs: I really hope you get your bfp this cycle, Good luck sending lots of :dust: your way, let me know how you go testing  xx

Lovetoteach - Good luck keep us posted on how you go :dust: x

Here is my 2pm opk from today, what do you ladies think. It's so hard to tell, it's so close to positive/negative, like Angels. I'll sort the progression soon :dohh:
CD19 - 2pm.jpg
Why are digi opk's so expensive, I am not enjoying this line business!! lol xx

@ Angel719
I think what makes it more confusing is that dark line that forms on the left side of the test line, my tests have that too :dohh:
xx

This is my opk progression.
CD17 @ 2pm is was an obvious positive then I just have no idea what is going on afterwards.
They are so close to positive/negative.

Progression cd 13 - 19.jpg

Can anyone explain what's going on ?
xx
Thankyou :flow:

@Angel719
I done some reading on the net and this is which I have found:
What if my OPK is positive for several days in a row?
It is possible, in a normal ovulation, to have a positive OPK for several days in a row. This is because LH peaks (surges) about 12-36 hours before ovulation occurs, and then dissipates. So, you could theoretically detect this high level of LH with positive OPK's from the time it begins to the time it dissipates-- over 36 hours. (https://www.peeonastick.com/opkfaq.html)

:confused::-k](*,)](*,)](*,):?::shipw::comp:

Here is my 9pm opk. I think it is negative. if you look close enough the test line is lighter than the control line which means my opk is negative - well I am going to tell myself this  opinions? x

That one looks like a negative to me. But your cd 17@ 2pm definitely is a positive!! I've read elsewhere that despite the confusing positives/negatives after getting your first positive, you can count your dpos based on that first positive. I think for the sake of not driving myself crazy, I'm going to consider my first positve on cd 18 as the start of my dpo but I'd keep doing the bd for a few more days :). And thank you for your reply to my post )

Baby dust and hugs!!!
