It's strange, reading that back I get quite emotional and sad, like I want to be back there, even though the pain was terrible! I guess the birth of your child is a special time, even if it felt like hell at the time! And despite saying at the time that I never want to do it again, I totally would now! Funny what time can do!

You wouldnt have felt the ring of fire because you had an episiotomy and the area would have been numbed! I didnt feel it either (woohoo!) because I had an episiotomy too

Ah that makes sense! In that case, I'm not as sorry that I had to have an episiotomy!

aww i have only just seen this thread! loved your birth story - it sounds like it all went pretty well really! that's terrible that they gave you a double dose of pethadine! you did very well though hun! congratulations he is gorgeous!!
