Thank you everyone I think I am more scared/upset than my mum!! She is being so brave and "normal" through this ... if it were me I would be in bits by now I think ... she is obviously very tired atm but of course the cancer is taking its toll ... I'm not looking forward to her starting chemo but hopefully this starts the path of her getting better.

I don't think I will be able to cope without her, I depend on her to help me bring up my princess so I am scared but trying to keep positive for her as much as anything else. Also I know I need 2 look after myself for my princess....

I didn't read off posts, but really felt the need to comment as I have been in this situation. When I was pregnant with my son, I escorted my Dad to his appointment where we got the diagnosis of small cell lung cancer. He was given a 5% chance to make it 6 weeks. I was 6 months pregnant with my son. His first boy ever. I am the oldest of 4 girls, and the only one with kids. To top it off my Husband was getting ready to move cross country for a year. Somehow you dig deep down and find the strenght to cope. Amazingly my father is with us, and it will be three years in January. The 8th to be exact. Here I am again pregnant, and he is praying for another boy.

I know it isn't perfect great news but, i am so relieved that your mom's cancer is treatable and that it hasn't apparently spread so far.... I just know your mom will pull through with a full recovery and in time you two will look back at this as a challenge but, relish in the fact that the worst is over. (hugs) my best wishes for you and your mom !
