Name game.....

Thanks so much Anna! I had no idea about the biblical derivation of Elliot, but it's so funny the fact was about George Elliot... that's part of where I got the name from and used to want o use it for a girl, but DH wasn't so keen :)

And Julia means downy-bearded?!? That's a riot!

This was lots of fun!

your welcome honey.. keeps my mind off the MS and the kids being ill

Sorry to hear about the MS and sick kids. Hope you and they are feeling better soon.

From your prior post, do I gather you already have 4, and now you're with #5? That's impressive!

I like the names, Lilly or Sophia for a girl or Oscar for a boy, does anyone think boys names are harder to think of than girls?x

i think it all depends on the names already in the family and to what your surname is... with me it has been hard to get the right name that we both liked for our surname although the kids had a compleat diffrent surname till i got married... but i think for me it was hard for both but yes boys are just that little bit harder

Yes! Girl names are easy. Boys though...ugh. Having a difficult time coming up with names that I really want to use, let alone what DH also wants. I had a list of boy names prior to my BFP, now I'm not so sure if they fit Baby...

I like Charlie for a boy or girl and Eliza for a girl. I'm struggling this time around because we had picked Abigail Paige for a girl when I was pregnant with my son but now I'm not liking it so much. I had an aunt pass away in August and I wanted to incorporate her name somehow but its difficult as I don't want to have the first name the same. Her name was Patricia Carol and I really really want to use some part of it but I can't find a good name to go with either. Any help ladies?

Charlie Patricia or Eliza Carol - I'm sure you've already contemplated these - but I think they're nice. I also like Charlie for a girl - but I am a fan of the unisex names for girls. I am loving Logan for a girl right now - maybe Logan Claire. And we are sure if it is a boy it will be named Lincoln - DH absolutely loves that name.

In no way are we set yet, but the names that seem to stick out most for us so far are Isaac for a boy and Ada or Olive for a girl.

My mom hates Olive with such a passion though. :haha: If we used both of our girl names on one kid, though, Olive would absolutely have to be first because there's just nothing right about the name "Ada Olive." How terrible. My poor kid.
:winkwink: I do so love eating olives, though!

We are quite boring Hailey Marie for a girl and William jack for a boy. Ive always like Charlie as my unisex name but hubby is not too keen we picked Matilda for our first daughter.

I love the name William Jack. Since we're doing William for a boy and DH wants to call the baby Billy, I was thinking of Billy Jack. I think it's adorable.

Pretty sure Hannibal Lector ruined that name pretty efficiently! :haha:

hmmm never heard Hannibel before... where did you get that name?

Hannibal is an ancient Mediterranean, warrior his name means gracious one.

For a girl we like hope or Jaime and for a boy Ollie or Jamie xx

It's also the main character in Silence of the Lambs (among the other books/movies in the series.) The reason I said the name may be ruined by Hannibal Lector is because he was a cannibalistic serial killer that's pretty well known and may be the reason why you're getting negative feedback on it?

Love the name Jamie for a boy. It's my second name on my boy list.
