Bella will NOT sleep with her nappy on! She hates it! The minute we put her to bed, off comes the nappy! I have to go in every 5-15 minutes to check that the nappy is on, and it never is, so i have to go back in and put another one on, then i leave her and she screams for a few minutes and it goes quiet and that is because she's taken the nappy off.
And then when i think it's on and she's asleep, she'll wake either 30 minutes, or an hour or so later, screaming her head off and i check on her and shes naked and her bed is soaked with wee! :dohh::nope:

I've tried duck taping her nappy on, i've tried checking on her every few minutes, but eventually, i have to sleep too, and when i do she wakes in the middle of the night with a soaking wet bed, which i have to change and put her back, where she goes back to sleep, takes off her nappy, then wakes in the morning soaking wet again. I'm washing her bedding about 2/3 times a day at the moment, and it's getting ridiculous.

She's not being potty trained and to be honet she's not ready yet - i just don't know what to do! We go on holiday in a weeks time and i really want to get her out of doing this before we go - any suggestions??

Is it a normal nappy or a pull-up type?

Put popper vests on backwards so the poppers are at the back.

Or pullups?

Sounds a bit odd, but maybe try buying a reusable nappy cover with poppers and putting that on over the regular nappy? I know when we've used disposable nappies recently whilst on holiday Roh has had them off in a flash. Every morning we got up to happy naked soaking child! :dohh: (he doesn't seem to care about being wet though, so at least we got to sleep) Anyway, the poppers on the reusable nappy wraps are designed to be tough for toddlers to undo, so it might help? We don't have any trouble usually, i think disposable nappies are just soo easy to take off, just a thought, might be worth a try :)
This is the one we use:

could she be hot? maybe give her a lighter duvet or less clothes?

Defintely not hot, she's shivering most of the time, i try to keep it nice a cool in her room and always make sure it's not about heat, it's def a problem with the nappy!

Will look into this, thank you! Though she doesn't undo the nappy, she just manages to wiggle out of it, i'm guessing these would be just as easy to wiggle out of?

Nope, doesn't work :nope:

Hmm, possibly it could still be wriggled out of, i'm not sure, Roh's cloth nappies always feel alot more secure than disposables, and the wraps have to be quite snug round the waist and legs, otherwise they'd be prone to leaking. I know for a fact there is no way he'd be able to wriggle out of his night nappies, where as i've seen him do it with a disposable one. If its not an issue of Bella undoing them, then you could get a velcro one that would be more adjustable, and you could make sure it was snug enough she couldn't escape! They do some for good prices on amazon i think  If it doesn't work they are easy to resell by the way.

Other than maybe tying her quite tightly to the bed so she can't wriggle

:winkwink:

what about those longie things that go over re usuable? they are soaked in something beginning with a L so they dont leak

Does she have a sleeping bag hun so her hands could get no-where near it? x

How about trying the pull up ones? You can get a pack from Tesco for around £4 and if it doesn't work you can keep hold of them until potty training time. Then if they work and you want cloth at least you know if it will work or not before you fork out? :flower:

she does have a sleeping bag (or used to) but she can get out of these easier and quicker than the nappy itself! Lol.

I think that pulls up would be even easier to get out of really, but might be worth a try, cheers!

Not sure what you're talking about?? Lol.

We've decided that tomorrow we're getting her a big girl bed and we're going to push ahead with potty training possibly - with these combined it might put a stop to the weeing the bed, so she knows that when she wants a wee, she can get out of the bed and have somewhere to go if she wants!

if she insists on taking it off. how about getting some sort of bed pad? we used to use them at the care home :haha:
