narrowed it down to 2 names! opinion poll!!!

We are having a boy and these are the 2 names we have narrowed it down to:

Sage pronounced like the herb
Nial prounounced like the 'nile' river.

We are open to all variations of the spelling so any suggestions are welcomed.
Would love to know which one you prefer and why?

I like Nial. I think of Sage more as a girls name x

I really like the sound of Nial. It's the one I'd pick. I'd be temped to spell it Nile like the river though just because I like the look of it better.

Sage is also a nice name! It was on my list of baby names but DH didn't like it.

I much prefer Sage, actually.

I'd spell Nial either Nyal or Niall otherwise it can easily be mispronounced as Neil (kneel)

I have a friend called Naile I like the name but I prefer his spelling

I knew a nialh that's how he spelt it and to be honest IMO you grow to hate the name after a while. I prefer sage
