NE england ladies- anyone planning the new hospital in Cramlington?

Hiya, just replied on your other thread. Yes I went for a tour, all looks very nice, individual rooms for everything, delivery and post natal. Fathers can stay and visiting hours are good, especially for children. I have my c-section booked there for this Friday. Nervous as hell, had natural delivery last time but got gestational diabetes and this baby is predicted large so having the section. Should be able to update more after the weekend then I'll have some real experience lol

Ah brilliant. All sounds good.

My first delivery was a section due to baby being undiagnosed breech (section was pretty much an elective though as they hadn't yet induced me). It was a very calm experience and I healed pretty well. I am opting for a repeat section over vbac this time (booked for the 7th Oct). My SIL has given me a support band to strap round my scar- apparently this helps a lot. Might be worth trying to pick one up before friday if you can. Good luck!
