need some help with food

hi to all.I hope some one can help me
I live in the uk but from africa now my hubby was very sweet and got me some droewors and biltong dose any one know if i can eat it ?
For those not heard of this its kind of like beef jerky but bigger slices.
Any help will be great as i have a load in kitchen and my mouth is watering.

I will ask doctor but not going for a whole week

They say you should not eat dried meats, that includes beef jerky.
