Ok ladies I was just wondering what you thought of this. As some of you may know I am waiting for AF to arrive because it looks like this cycle of Clomid was a bust. They did a blood test on Monday which would have been 13 DPO, and it came back negative for pregnancy which didn't surprise me because I took a hpt the same morning and got a bfn. My HCG was 1 my Progestrone was 5.0 and my estrogen was at 144 which my RE said was a bit high and he didn't quite understand why. He also mentioned my progestrone seemed to be off too because it suggests I am about to O but I O'd 2 weeks ago.
Anyway, the following day (14 dpo) I came home late (it was like 1:00 AM). I had to pee when I got home and saw the test strips still in my bathroom and I thought, what the hell, I took one of the tests and got a very, very faint positive. Well, at this point I did not know that my test results were going to be negative because I had not yet recieved the results. I was so sure I was going to get a positive on my blood test after seing that. But nope...
I am a little confused as to why I had a negative urine test the day before then a faint positive the following day and my beta was negative as well. The test strips I used were the wondfo 10mlu so they are very sensitive. I told the nurse what happend when they called to give me the results and they too were stumpped.
The nurse said it could be possible that we did the beta too early and my hcg just has not risen to a positive number in the blood yet but I don't know about that. I don't want to get my hopes up, I just don't know what else could make that happen. Surly my hcg could not have gone from a 1 to a detectible 10 mlu number over night could it????
oh and for the record, the line came up within the time frame and when I saw it I thought it could have been a defective test so I took another one with the same cup of urine and got the same result.
