Nervous,can I still be hopeful?

Today I had my first visit to the obgyn.acc.to them I should be 9 weeks preggers.but my ultrasound showed I am 6 weeks 4 days and no heartbeat was detected just the sac. They aren't sure if I had a missed miscarriage or if it's too early.they have called me back next week for another ultrasound,not sure what to expect?
