new and scared

Hi there everybody,

I have just joined this website and im really scared and confused.

I am 18 on the 22nd of Nov and i have been with my boyfriend for 3 years in february. I have a full time apprenticeship in payroll and accounts.

I am really scared as there is a possibility that i could be pregnant...

I had 'relations' with my boyfriend the other night and we never used any condoms as we have never slept with anyone else at all as we have only been with eachother (i know your probably thinking that im stupid but i trust him 100% and i would never do anything behind his back anyway)

So anyway, i am very strict with my pill as i take it religiously, well yesterday (8th Nov) i forgot to take it in the morning - even when we done something on the fri (7th ). Im really worried as im due on my period on thurs and i could tell you the exact date i would start and whether i would be on in the morning or afternoon.

Im worried as i would love to have children, but dont know how my family or his would take it if i was pregnant, i know my mum loves big families and cant wait for us to have kids (she was 19 when she had her first and lost it so she was quite young.) but i just dont want people to look at me and judge me in a certain way or just think of me as a typical girl getting pregnant.

If you have any comments or advice as to what i should do (if i am pregnant- which i have to wait and see for my period to come- if it does) then i would be very happy to listen.

i dont think u should be worrying just yet hun... If u dnt get your period thats when you should be thinking... I was in the same situation with my bf. we never used condoms & i accidently skipped the pill ova 10 times and didnt fall pregnant as a result of that ( Incase u arent aware when you are on the pill you need to take extra procations if you have consummed alcohol (this is how i have fallen pregnant!) as it has an effect on the pill n basically increases the chance of falling pregnant.

Unless you are late on your period i wouldnt be worrying to much just yet.

You might like to consider trying a different form of contraception if you find it hard remembering to take the pill (like implanon) i myself was pretty shocking remembering to take the pill...

oh and also.

If you usually take the pill at say... 8 in the morning u have i think 6 9 hours until its classed as actually "missing a pill" so u might have still been protected.

No contraception is 100% fool proof...

If you havent ever missed any others i dont think that there will be a big chance you are preg..but there is possibly a slim one.
I would just wait til your period is due, if it doesnt come then test asap, because if you are preg and continue to take the pill it can end up harming the baby

ok. so if u dont want to fall pregant dont have unprotected sex until u start a new packet of the pill. (use condoms) once u skip one it stuffs up the whole cycle.

it says it all in the book that the pill comes with.

What brand are u on ?

Read the book though ? depending on when u took it u might be right... i use to forget like 2 at a time n i know i had to use condoms until the next month... but it might be different if uv only skipped one....

I probably have a booklet around here somewhere if u dont have use..

Ok i just found a booklet and this is what it says = If you miss one"active" pill, take the dose as soon as you remember or take two pills at the time of your next regularly scheduled dose. You do not need to use backup birth control.


So ur ok. But if u miss 2 it says to wait use alternative birth control for 7 days. I would still probably be caution if u really dont want to fall pregnant. WOuldnt hurt to use condoms for a few days just to stay on the safe side...

But as far as the booklet goes ur pretty right...

There is only a slim chance.Just wait till Thursday and see whther you get your period and if you don't,then

I'd also suggest you use condoms till you start a new pack cause missing a can really mess things up.
