Hello ladies!

Alright so my quick backstory is that I got my period when I was 15 and it was crazy irregular and so heavy that my hgb dropped too far and I would pass out. So after only 6 months, I was put on BC and have been on it ever since (9 yrs). Last BC pill was September 19 and I'm CD6 today.

Since I have absolutely no idea what my cycles will be like now, how early do you think I should start OPK testing?

Thanks!
-Lindsay

Hey there, my specialist always had me start testing on cd 10. I think thats a pretty common day for everyone to start testing. I never ovulate at the same time. Also you should test around 2 pm. I have tested with fmu and missed my surge before, so I started testing in the afternoon and have had success catching my surge. GL!!

That's like me - no clue how long my cycles are since I was on bc almost 10 years. Makes it hard to track! We are just trying almost every day just incase!

I got the cheapies online so I started on CD 8 as I have irregular cycles and can O from day 12 to about day 23.

Yeah I just started today on CD8. It was negative as expected but there's no harm in testing it too early. I also bought the cheap wondfo kind so it's not very expensive.

I'm nervous that I won't ovulate for a few cycles, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I'm trying not to be too impatient but it's hard!

It's funny, the only perfect cycle I have had is my first one off BC. 35 days, had a perfect temp shift at 21 days and a 14 day LP. Then after that they went insane, with annovulatory for one cycle and then they started to get longer and longer, including one that almost went 90 days! The last three have evened out a bit, but that was after over a year off BC.

I've heard about that happening to a lot of people, which is why I'm crossing my fingers and toes that I just get pregnant with my first cycle. Not likely, but who knows...
