What has everybody got planned?

We don't really 'do' NYE, I find it a massive anti-climax and don't particularly enjoy going out anyway, plus the fact that I don't have a babysitter.

We are just having it as a family, getting a takeaway all together and watch a film, the boys will be in bed before 12 and me and Dave just watch Jools Holland and look at all the fireworks.

We will probably be doing much the same.

We don't do anything. The only thing I do is watch Jools Holland annual hootenanny and then at midnight i watch the fireworks on telly.

I haven't got a babysitter this year so we are planning to go for a family meal late afternoon then chill out in the evening with steak pie!

I'll be spending mine with friends..No one has any idea where yet we've not sorted the details just agreed it needs to be done :) all my friends spend Christmas Eve together too (none of them have children) and I won't be joining in with that I'll be with my boys :) the one thing I hate about going out New Year's Eve is that everything is overpriced. I remember last year it was £15 on the door entry to the bigger clubs and the drinks were all double the price.

I've opted to work NYE :) Where I work you usually do Xmas Eve or NYE and I have things to be doing Xmas eve - playing Santa :happydance:

We do close early though so if OH goes out with his friends then I will meet them in the village pub after work for an hour or so (DD will be with her Daddy). I'm not the biggest fan of NYE either tbh :) xx

Oooof were having a new years eve party at ours this year!! and im usually the person who's in bed at about 9pm haha!
Only about 10-12 people though x

My husband is a musician and it looks like he has a gig that night. So now trying to decide if I want to stay home alone or try and find a babysitter and go and watch him! x

I have missed the last 3 years, been in bed! (pregnant, pregnant, non sleeping 5 month old) so I may go all out ths year! glass of bubbly and the fireworks on telly in bed for 12.15 :haha:

I haven't even thought of NYE yet, I've been too busy focusing on Christmas...

We'll just do the same as any Saturday night.

LO will be in bed at 7pm, then we'll either get a takeaway or cook a nice meal, maybe open a bottle of wine, we'll watch a film or play games and probably be in bed by 10pm ourselves!

We dont really do anything, we just order a big chinese, watch some crappy telly and wait for Big Ben to strick 12 :)

I havent been out on New years for 15 years now, I like to be at home with the kids and bring the New Year in as a family :) x

I love New Year, I love the idea of a new start and saying goodbye to the past year. Love it!

Sadly this year is kinda low key because OH doesn't finish work until 6 :dohh: so we're going to TGI Fridays and maybe a drink after :)

I dont really 'get' new years..to me it's just another day really. why dont we have new month day or new week day? I just dont really see the point  :haha:

Think ours will be much the same.

Film and watch the countdown on TV

Xx

Nothing. I wouldn't have a sitter anyways, and around the 20th of January we plan to have a party at our house anyways for Mark's dirty thirty, so I will save a sitter for that :P

I normally don't do anything for NYE apart from sit in and watch Jools Holland with my family. This year might be a bit different, I think OH's youngest sister wants us to go with her to a party her church is having, which will be interesting at 33 weeks pregnant.

We usually have a family get together at my Aunts house, I am a bad mummy and let the boys stay up so that they can go outside and watch the fireworks/bang pans then I put them in the buggy where they pass out and walk up to collect Ollie from the pub so we can go home lol x

We got to my moms every year, all the family come round and we make it a party, its always fun xx

This year as we've got Alex we will be staying in. Probably be in bed before midnight lol. X
