Newbie in TTC! CD1

Hi all!

I've just moved over to TTC! Currently on CD1 so moved over to TTC as we're going to start trying this cycle! So exciting.

I'm 21 and DH is 22 we've been together over 7 years and got married last June.

We're going to be trying for #1 so fingers crossed everything goes ok. I'm having about 42 day cycles and Ovulated on CD28 last cycle. I've been on BCP (came off in Feb) but i'm hoping my cycles shorten. Also started using my Clearblue Fertility Monitor so hopefully that'll give me some idea.

I came off bcp last week. I also have a clear blue fertility monitor and wait to use it. It should ask for the first test on Friday, so excited. I hope my cycle will get back to normal fast an we'll get a ASAP.

Thank you for all your kind words! My first test is Monday but don't expect it to show O as didn't ovulate until cd28 last time. I really can't wait to hopefully (fingers crossed quickly) become pregnant! Would be like a dream come true!

I hope it happens quickly for you too! What does a clearblue fertility monitor do? Is it just instead of using opks?

Hubby and I are just starting to TTC for #1 too We started last month, but I think we started past my ovulation time. (28-30 day cycles and I was out of the country cd9-16). Anyway, I'm currently on cd1 and we are hoping to really try this month. I'm excited, anxious, and so just want the next week to fly so we can really get started...

Welcome and goodluck! Also curious, what does the clearblue monitor do? I havent started tracking ovulation yet but have started thinking I want to next cycle if im not preggers now (super unlikely BFN cd42, no AF yet)

hi,

you set it up on the first day of your cycle and it tells you if it wants you to test. I had low yesterday and it's gone straight to high today on cd7 which seems very unlikely since my last cycle i ov on cd28.

I've read that this can happen on your first cycle of using it. We'll see anyway

I didn't O my first cycle off the pill until CD 35 but now on my second cycle I O'd CD17, which is more like how my cycles were like last time I was off the pill. So you might O soon!

Do you think it's possible I may ov earlier this time then and maybe the high on cd7 will stay high until my peak? i really hope so as i hate the 40+ day cycles!

I think you will be back to what your cycles were like before bcps...the first cycle just takes longer for your body to actually kick in.
