Those trackers are crap honestly. Because not everyone has a 28 day cycle, and not everyone ovulates halfway through, and not everyone has a 14 day luteal phase (Days between Ovulation and the 1st day of period)
Click on the ticker in my siggy and sign up for Fertility friend. They have free online tutorials that can teach you about temping and charting your signs.
One of the big things to watch for is your cervical mucus (CM). It varies throughout your cycle. Fertile CM is watery (it reminds me of like KY lube) and then Egg white CM (looks like uncooked egg whites) Egg white CM is your most fertile CM and it usually means you are ovulating or ovulating soon, ALTHOUGH you can still have EWCM after Ovulation.
Tracking your temp helps you know what day you ovulated on. Sometimes its trial and error as you won't find out that you Ov'ed until after its over. BUT if you follow a few months of Oving around the same time, at least you know when you need to step up and hump it out more
You will see your temp go up after Ov. You want to use a digital thermometer and test at your waking temp (before you get out of bed) It takes a bit to get used to but it soon becomes second nature!
Its good to try OPK's at first while you are trying to figure out what your Ov time is. But they can get expensive. You can buy cheapo's on Amazon.com and they come in bundles. There is nothing fancy, its just like a piece of paper but they work just as good!
Anyway if you have any questions feel free to ask. And check out Fertility friend and the free tutorials.
