Hiya all!! New to this site, been around reading some posts finally decided that I should join! I havent been trying for a baby but at the same time not preventing it either, but its been a year of doing that and no sign of a baby!

This is our first month of actual trying and I am already stressing out and it seems like the only thing I can think of. Im scared of being infertile!

Heya, I'm a newbie too, and this is my first month ttc also....I know what you mean. I wouldn't fret about being infertile though. I have PCOS (so it's likely I'll have a rough time till I get my cycles in order), and even if you have decreased fertility, you're still pretty likely to have a baby if you try long enough and get the correct help. Anyway, as long as you have a regular period, most of the time you're okay. Check around your O time if you have that stringy egg white mucus going on....if you do, you're okay.

Another interesting thing.....you have less than a 20% chance of getting preg in any given month. If you're really worried, talk to your doctor. Totally willing to stress with you though. ;)

The only advice I can give you, is don't stress! It makes it so much harder. Get yourself and the OH on some vitamins and just enjoy yourself. We've all been there!
Goodluck ;)

Thanks! Its soooo hard not to stress over it! and then getting my hopes up and just to have them come crashing down with a neg. I hope this is our month though! hubby is the best though he is always telling me to not stress just to relax and it will eventually happen to us!

I know its easier said than done though. I'm pretty sure I'm already half crazy and its only been 4 months!

lol I hear you! and doesnt help when people in your or your spouses family get pregnant at the snap of their fingers! So happy for them dont get me wrong! just makes me even worse =P

Im glad I have people to relate with. My husband tries to understand bless him! but very nice to have ladies who are going through similar situations! Thank you ladies! Starting to feel less stressed out.

Well I will try and keep you all updated on my journey! Wish you all lots of luck as well!

What are you doing to track your ovulation? I thought it would stress me out more and take the fun out of it, but I REALLY liked having control and knowing when I ovulated and how many days til my period was due lol.

Right now I am still trying to get the hang of it, I am just using an ovulation calc that I have found online I dont know how accurate it would be but I am going to be buying ovulation kit/tests to help us better our chances, but Ive never used them before so im not sure about them

Those trackers are crap honestly. Because not everyone has a 28 day cycle, and not everyone ovulates halfway through, and not everyone has a 14 day luteal phase (Days between Ovulation and the 1st day of period)

Click on the ticker in my siggy and sign up for Fertility friend. They have free online tutorials that can teach you about temping and charting your signs.

One of the big things to watch for is your cervical mucus (CM). It varies throughout your cycle. Fertile CM is watery (it reminds me of like KY lube) and then Egg white CM (looks like uncooked egg whites) Egg white CM is your most fertile CM and it usually means you are ovulating or ovulating soon, ALTHOUGH you can still have EWCM after Ovulation.

Tracking your temp helps you know what day you ovulated on. Sometimes its trial and error as you won't find out that you Ov'ed until after its over. BUT if you follow a few months of Oving around the same time, at least you know when you need to step up and hump it out more :haha:

You will see your temp go up after Ov. You want to use a digital thermometer and test at your waking temp (before you get out of bed) It takes a bit to get used to but it soon becomes second nature!

Its good to try OPK's at first while you are trying to figure out what your Ov time is. But they can get expensive. You can buy cheapo's on Amazon.com and they come in bundles. There is nothing fancy, its just like a piece of paper but they work just as good!

Anyway if you have any questions feel free to ask. And check out Fertility friend and the free tutorials. :)

Well for the past 2-3 days I feel like I am so warm, I wake up covered in sweat lately! its crazy! Im trying to get my cycles on track am still getting them sorted out, Its really tough cause my period sometimes has a mind of its own and likes to show up either later or sooner than its supposed to! which is quite annoying to be honest!

How many days are you into your cycle? And do you have a normal day range that they run?

After I've Ov'ed I get really flushed and hot in the face. I'm not tracking my temps right now but I can always confirm when I have Ov'ed. Although I'm thrown off right now cuz I'm on a med that raises my temp and makes my cheeks hot! lol.

It stopped on the 3rd of this month, Its really weird feeling this warm like my entire body feels like its over heating I cant even sleep with a blanket on anymore! and if I do im like drenched in sweat, its really gross lol

Im not sure yet I am just now really tracking my cycles as before I was so irregular I would go for weeks at a time and then stop for a couple weeks then go back on, It was strange and its just now getting back to a somewhat normal. I think it started because I was about 15 pounds underweight and I am just now back into my proper weight zone

Yeah being low in weight (or over weight) can make you not ovulate. Its your bodies way of saying that you are not healthy enough for a baby.

And since you said you were NTNP for a year, I'm assuming you were not on the pill  But I know when I came off the pill it took me like 6 months to regulate.

But its still very normal to get a wonky cycle every so often. I normally run 29-31 days but every so often I will run like a week late.

Thank you so much! I am starting to feel less stressed and a lot better, I am going to keep track of my cycles and pick up some ovulation kits soon as possible! Is being warm a sign of ovulating or have ovulated?

It can be. For me it is anyway. But I also never noticed it or realized thats what it was until after I was confirming ovulation. Before I just thought I randomly got hot  lol
