When are you ladies planning on taking the newborn wedge out of the car seat ?

Just wondering really as DS looks squashed in his seat already (nearly 2 months old ) I would still use the head hugger just not the wedge foam bit . Can’t remember when I took it out with the girls but they were smaller than DS

I'm not sure what a wedge is for a car seat but I just want to throw out there that car seats are only tested for safety without the use of any kind of additional. accessory. So if the wedge was purchased separately from the car seat it shouldn't be used at all.

But my car seat (and others) came with a newborn insert which is approved of for use which might be what you're asking about. The manual gives guidelines for when it should be removed. If you don't have the manual anymore it should also be available online or you could call the manufacturer.

Sorry my post wasn’t very clear it’s the newborn insert which came with the seat when we purchased it .

I’ve since found the information out from Maxi Cosi direct who advised in my circumstances to remove the wedge !
