Sheeesh, women should only be expected to carry a baby the weight their body allows! Admitedly there are some examples where the baby is too big for mum, but I think our bodies know what they're doing most of the time!
This is all another example of the hypercriticality of the midwives, health and pregnancy care, they push 'natural' birth and leaving you too it on you for nine months and then want to interfear when a baby is of 'different' weight, drives me mad!
They wonder and complain about elective c-sect and increased emergency c-sects rates, and then go on abt having 'bigger babies' cos it;s healthier. Helllo does it matter, as long as baby born healthy does weight make much difference. (obvs when very small etc but I mean ranging from 5lb - 10lb + as long as healthy all that matters!)
