Hi

I used to post a lot on the miscarriage part of the forum under my old username but due to various reasons I've decided its safer to post about this under a new one. Just last Tuesday I found out I was pregnant again with a strong positive result. According to my calculations; though I normally ovulate late it must have been day 10-14 of my cycle at the most because the only times dh and I BD last month overwise due to various things coming up and throwing spanners into our TTC plans, was a couple of days before my AF was due. I took the test (tesco own brand) the day after I thought my AF was due and it came up as strongly as with my other boys. I've not had any strong symptoms yet but I've had symptoms a lot earlier than with the pregnancy where I had the MMC; I didn't have symptoms until 10 weeks then and took a test when I must have been 'testably' pregnant but it was negative, so I am feeling quite hopeful and positive. I'm already busting out of my bra in a way I only did with my eldest son (I was already an H cup so not looking forward the forking out of at least 25 quid each required for a J or higher cup bra!), also feeling very sick but only in the morning (with my others it was either in the evening or all day!) I also had excessive saliva all last week but thank goodness that has worn off now....

congrats on your pregnancy hun! it sounds like youve got a strong one in there :hugs:

Hi

thanks I am hoping so; I feel absolutely terrible! Its getting worse every day. It was just in the morning but today it shows no signs of abating and its 4.30pm; my husband had to pre-cook some food for the kiddos for me to reheat as I cannot face it. I'm thinking its going to be like my second baby where I wasn't sick as often (though still sick more than average) but feel absolutely awful and on the verge of being sick all day every day. I hope it doesn't carry on until 20 weeks like my previous pregnancies.

I called my GP and they made my booking appointment for Monday no questions asked or hesitation, which is good as my old GP were useless and stopped doing booking appointments at their practice and instead referred people to the hospital who then would refer to a local clinic hence the delays last time. I'm glad we moved because that GP took delegating out to a whole new level to the extent they no longer did any blood tests or anything there anymore and I wouldn't mind but the places they delegated out to were really far away and totally inaccessible with public transport....

Hi, i am 5 weeks i had a miscarriage 7 months ago too so i am praying that i don't have another one i am so terrified to even move around i know that it doesnt make a difference, no symptoms yet. I usually get very nauseated during the first trimester so I dont know if it will be different this time.
Congratulations to you on your pregnancy.

Thanks and hopefully this one will be a sticky for you. Last pregnancy I did everything absolutely textbook right for a healthy pregnancy; but still had a MMC this time I'm taking it more easy on myself, if its meant to be it will be; I don't drink or smoke so don't have many vices but I'm not going to be too hard on myself if I have the odd coke or chocolate bar even if something does go wrong....

Good luck. I too had a MMC last June, but I agree that the pregnancy symptoms were so different this time. Don't take no for an answer from your doctor if you are worried at all. Mine was brilliant, as I didn't have to ask for a 7 week scan, she insisted that we did one to confirm I hadn't missed. Am now 13+4, so hang in there.

Hi

Thanks; unfortunately my GP's surgery does private early scans for £50 a pop so I think theres a conflict of interest there; I've been told I am more likely to be able to get an early scan if I contact the EPAU directly; I have had some very slight spotting this morning; which tailed off immediately but if I am at all still worried tomorrow I will call the EPAU and see if its possible for me to come in.
