This might sound weird but I'm worried about my babys movement. Baby only seems to really move after/during eating something and never seems to move at night, I have never been woken up my kicks, etc. Baby only seems to move when I'm awake and everyone seems to be going on about their bump keeping them awake at night, this never happens to me. Is my baby ok?

I think your baby is fine, my baby doesn't move at night, I've never been woken up by kicks or wiggles, he's never kept me awake. I like to think he's already a good boy and is sleeping at night...fingers crossed it continues when he is born.

I used to think it was strange that my boy didnt move at night, but then babies are all different, there is no set rule, and mine (and yours) are movers in the day...nothing wrong with that.

Mine has been very quiet at night for a few weeks now. I find myself waking and worrying and getting into a position that I know will make him wiggle (usually on my back) then when I know he's ok I roll over and go back to sleep.

I know it's scary but as long as baby is moving well during the day I'm sure everythings fine - mention it to your midwife if you're worried though x

Hi,

To be honest my baby has only ever once woken me up with a huge kick and that happened a week ago, however i would say everone is different some people have baby's that kick constantley whilst others dont, My baby tends to kick about when i am eating and more at night but not during the day...I would advise if you are really worried to maybe call your mw but i'm sure your baby is just fine but i do understand how worrying it can be..x

ahhh dood thats EXACTLY the same for me. Baby moves about all day and doesn't seem to nap to much but come bedtime it's lights out and she sleeps all night! I did have a look about on this and it CAN be a good sign! That they take on our sleeping pattern rather than being rocked to sleep with us moving around in the day, threfore when they come out they sleep better at night! WOOOO HOOO!

Don't worry xx

If only it meant we got more sleep hey ladies?!!! LMAO if only!

yr baby absorbs yr melatonin so some babies really do relax more or sleep at night. also if yr fast asleep and baby wiggles just a little bit it wouldnt be enough to wake you up hun x

I have an AP and generally only feel Boo after eating a big meal or while sitting chilling on the sofa in the evening. I've never been woken or kept awake by her.

I just think all bubs are individuals and their position make a difference too.

lo never wakes me up at night either , but my first lo used to keep me up all night long , every baby is different :)xx

My baby never really kicks at night either, she is much more active throughout the day and early evening but if I ever wake up in the night she is never really moving about.

As long as you are aware of your babys pattern, and there is no reduced movements within that pattern I would say it is just the way your baby is.

Hopefully it means they will all sleep through the night when they arrive! ;)
