Hi ladies - after a bit of reassurance if possible!
Had some spotting last week and was booked in for early scan which I had yesterday. Had vaginal ultrasound and they saw a gestational sac at 6w4d, exactly right by my dates, but no fetal pole or heartbeat.
I freaked out but the Dr said that it was inconclusive, rather than bad news, and that I had to go back next Monday for another scan. I really thought you would always see a yolk sac and pole at this stage?
She says all women are different and that she can't say one way or the other yet.
My mood is wildly fluctuating now! One the one hand, I'm pleased the gestational sac measures exactly right, as guess if baby had died the sac would have stopped growing? On the other, I don't understand why the sac would not have a bean visible?
Please help - success stories and encouragement only if possible, as have a whole week to go and am under instructions to remain positive. Feel sick and so scared...please help if you can
