Not Digesting?!

Finlaye had some carrott yesterday and had a nice poo explosion but u could clearly see the carrot in his poopie- do u think he is finding this hard to digest so therefor should avoid it? xxx

It could be that.
Izzy was weaned just after 4 months, and although her poops were always the colour of what she ate - they never contained the actual food she had eaten.
Was it pureed carrot? I am sure it should digest if the baby is ready for solids.

Yeah it could be that. If you give a baby solids before they are ready to digest them, it will pass through their system without any of the nutrients etc being absorbed.

Once you get onto finger foods at 6m+ this doesn't apply though! Ruby's nappies are still full of bits of food.
