not eating much at all... anyone else?

Sitting here with another bout of nausea, I realize I've had nothing to eat all day. Yogurt and 2 pickles. I just can't eat. I've not thrown up so it's not because I can't keep it down. I'm just too nauseous to ingest anything.

I feel terrible because I know I should be eating but I'm too queasy and nothing sounds appetizing. Anyone else in the same boat? What are you doing about it?
 
You should try and eat small amounts frequently :) not worry if you don't succeed. I had bad MS last time and it turned out fine.
 
I had the same problem from weeks 5-7 and as a result of not eating I ended up dropping some 15lbs - which made the dr. very unhappy. (but that could've been because I was dipping towards underweight...)

Anywho - I found that forcing myself to eat some toast or some crackers every 2 hours actually helps with the nausea. It doesn't make it go away, but it does somewhat put out the urge to puke and the boiling/roiling of acid fire in my stomach.

It's not easy to get the food down - especially since for the last 5 weeks I've been eating every 2-3 hours day and night.

I'm definitely not hungry - but like I said, it seems to help somewhat with the nausea which I have had since before I got my BFP and which is around 24 hours a day...
 
I have saltines that I've attempted to munch on and Ginger Ale as well but it doesn't help at all. I went to make toast this morning but we were out of bread. It was a sad moment haha. I just can't stand putting food in my mouth. I just feel this gagging feeling sitting in my throat if it makes any sense.
 
Try cutting up one piece of toast into bite size pieces (when you buy bread) and try to have one or bits.
 
Heehee, we ran out of bread last week - but it was because I ate it all...

Everyone says saltines are a pregnant woman's best friend and I happen to have always loved them (especially with peanut butter - which I eat by the finger-full from the jar. ;) ) But...for pregnant-me, well the smell of peanut-butter makes me gag and the saltines just make the bad taste in my mouth worse.

I switched to a different kind of cracker (I like the 'fluffy' crackers like, Ritz or Snackers) and nibble at them really slowly.

I know that gagging feeling. I fight it every time I eat. It is awful and I spend the whole time eating thinking, "please let this stay down, please let this stay down."

I can't wait for this to pass!
 
I know exactly how you feel ( not got m/s yet but I didn't till 6-7 weeks last time) :hugs: you will get through it :hugs:
 
Same for me except it increased in the last few weeks instead of the normal decrease. I can get a few bites down and then it's as if food changes tastes and textures in my mouth and my reaction is to spit it out as I find it suddenly repulsive :(. I've dropped 8 lbs so everything I gained in the first few months is gone and then some. I have better luck keeping food down later at night.
 
I'm exactly the same at the moment and just can't bring myself to eat and when I do I am kind of forcing it down. I have actually lost half a stone since I became pregnant!
 
i had a phase where i just cudnt eat sprite helped me it does pass
 
Im the same. I really have no appetite but then i start to feel sick and realise i havent eaten anything.
Ive started trying to eat something every couple of hours and thats def helping me.
I did try boiled sweets but they were making me feel worse. Ive found that salt & vingear crisps are helping now and ready cut up fruit, like a fruit salad or something. If i even think about making a sandwich or cooking then my stomach turns but if i buy something from a shop, im fine - weird!!

i feel your pain, im exactly the same. Im just glad im not throwing up. I was thinking about how little i eat and it cant be good, so just been shopping and bought loads of fruit. Im literally nibbling on grapes right now, normally have them in one go but im taking about 20 little bites as its a struggle. At least its something right. Hope we all feel better soon.. I cant wait to pig out !!
 
Im not eating alot either (as in a proper meal) UNLESS its a take-out. If i dont have to make it in house then ill eat it. My dinner today was 4 Tuc biscuits, cheese dunker, turkish delight chocolate and half a banana. Then ill probably have a bowl of cerial in a few hours or elce sickness kicks in. Its a nightmare but im hoping i only have a few weeks left of my bad eating habits, my teeth are going to be ruined :nope:
 
I'm the same! Since getting our bfp ive lost 13 UK lbs. I'm really struggling with food it just doesnt interest me, other than fruit. I'm eating grapes, pineapple, strawberries and blackberries when i can face eating. My MW doesnt seen too concerened as long as im getting something down. MS is not fun! :wacko:
 
I also have no appetite whatsoever, then suddenly I'll feel hungry make something I think i really want to eat then when it's cooked I don't want it at all and force it down. The only thing I enjoy eating are salty crisps!!
 
This is how I've been too. My doctor finally put me on Unisom and B6 which has helped somewhat. They also said that if you're eating little, just make sure that you're getting as much protein as possible. The more protein you eat, the less nauseous you'll be.
 
Hi ladies I'm 8 weeks Sunday n havnt stopped being sick for nearly 4weeks. Im a training chef and my life evolves around food its been so hard to keep anything down at all even plain toast.im. trying to pick foods that I know it sounds nasty but that arent bad coming back up.my oh has been very helpful but I love food n I've lost half a stone already mw says to eat little and offten which in my job isnt easy.I also get a physical reck from my belly which doesnt help much. X
 
For me everything tastes like ash!

I haven't been nauseous just zero appetite. Even my favourite foods are turning me because they taste like nothing, and I like spicy food!

SO glad I'm not alone here!!!

Someone mentioned protein. Funny because I actually just bought protein bars since I'm not eating much. I should attempt one of those. I only ate yogurt and 2 pickles yesterday and my belly has been upset with me today because of it. I managed to get down a slice of toast but I still feel like crap. I've started taking B6 with my prenatal and it hasn't helped a bit.

Nothing sounds good. Most stuff doesn't even taste good anymore. I was never like this with my first pregnancy. I cannot wait for it to pass.
