Phew! I also find it odd how people get so upset and take things personally. Sometimes you say one word out of place and it gets picked on. Similar to a few of you, to me this is just an Internet site. No offence but at the end of the day I'll switch off my computer and go back to the real world and not really think about it. The girls on here are very supportive if you have a genuine question or concern. The more argumentative threads are fun. Forums are about debating issues, that's the point of it. If you didn't want a range of views you would just ask one person in the real world. Why get so caught up? Either enjoy the debates or switch off the damn computer and live your life, that's what I say!

I asked for sum advice cause I didn't get that manual that some mums seem 2 have that tells u everything about being a mum any way I wish I hadn't posted now as I ended up in tears thinking that every1 reading the post would think I was a bad mum and really really stupid well I aint having it cause I'm a gr8 mum my son is very well looked after and the happyst little guy u will meet he's always laughing away at his mummy but guess what even the best mums make mistakes. When you complain about a type of parenting you see, you need to understand that inevitably you will find that type of parent on here - and accordingly, they will probably speak out. I did fully read the thread you spoke of - and while I don't necessarily disagree with your opinion on the matter, those who disagreed had the right to voice it too.

If you are looking to publish your opinion without any feedback, positive or negative, then this is not the place. I've gotten a lot of positive comments in my time. I have a LOT of thank buttons. I don't have 1,000 "thanks for nothing" buttons only because it doesn't exist. If it did, I'm sure I would have them. You gotta take the bad with the good.

I think it's interesting that some people see others online as a sort of faceless stranger, for lack of a better word. Am I the only one who does really care what people on here think of me? I feel genuinely bad when I upset someone on here or when someone upsets me =( I guess I'm just a more emotional person than most though.

I think what bothers me most is when people are desperate for help but posters get too caught up in other 'contraversial' threads and let those that really need advice drop off the pages. It's a shame. We're probably all guilty of it though.

I care to an extent. It really bugs me when people are rude to me and when people take something I say the wrong way. But I usually get over it much faster than I would if it had happened in real life, know what I mean? Once I log out, I don't give it much more thought.

It's more that I know we are all different. What matters most is me, my OH and my baby. I care about helping people on here but I won't take it to heart if someone disagrees or argues with me. Life is FAR too short! I'll defend my opinion as I like debating things. It's healthy! Debate is different to argue. One of my best friends is religious and I'm the complete oposite. We debate religion agressively with eachother all the time. It gets heated sometimes. We both enjoy it and continue to be really good friends coz we both continue to stick by our beleafs and agree to (continue to) disagree.

I don't get it really - I read your thread and it didn't seem very controversial and IMO nobody was rude to you. You expressed an opinion and so did some others......? The people here are just killing time while their baby naps or whatnot - so its best to keep perspective and not take things too personally.

What a boring place this would be if we all had to agree and hug during each thread. TBH I find sometimes there is a bit of suppressed rage here in baby club because nobody really feels free to let loose with what they actually want to say
